Cisco 7905 can't register
My Cisco 7905 can't register with Asterisk (1.0.7-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC7k
on Debian stable). It could, however, register with another
installation of Asterisk and the settings on the phone (apart from the
SIP proxy address) haven't changed since then.
On the new Asterisk box my sip.conf contains this:
[jeremy]
type=friend
regexten=801
allow=g729

[LLVMdev] Getting LNT to work with non-bash shell
The attached patch didn't fix it, but when I also changed another == to = a
few lines further down it seemed to work.

Jeremy''s git tags
Hi Everyone,
git noob. simple question, how do i get a previous release from
jeremy''s git repository?
Right now, I can get the latest (2.6.32.9) by doing the following:
git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jeremy/xen.git
linux-2.6-xen
$ cd linux-2.6-xen
$ git pull
I tried doing a "git tag -l" when in linux-2.6-xen directory, but that
did not print the tag

Redirect without port number?
On my host I run my lighttpd instance bound to a specific port and my
hostname is mapped to this port (I''m not exactly sure how this is
accomplished, but it is lighttpd also listening on port 80 which handles
this for me I believe).
A redirect from rails includes my local port number in the request, so that
it shows up in the address bar. I prefer people not to see this - I

[LLVMdev] Getting LNT to work with non-bash shell
I followed the LNT quickstart guide (
http://llvm.org/docs/lnt/quickstart.html) on my debian machine, and it
seems to have a problem running. When I consult test.log, every single
test has a section like this
# Pretend that the reference output was produced instantaneously.

> Output/sse.expandfft.out-nat.time

(fwd from uke@jeremy.org) thanks and patch
Jeremy,
I'm glad you like rsync.
Why does your encryption program not produce a file of the same size
every time it is run on the same input? I can see what the patch
does, but I'm having a bit of trouble understanding whether it would
be generally useful.

[PATCH 00/20] x86: ticket lock rewrite and paravirtualization
From: Jeremy Fitzhardinge <jeremy.fitzhardinge at citrix.com>
Hi all,
This series does two major things:
1. It converts the bulk of the implementation to C, and makes the
"small ticket" and "large ticket" code common. Only the actual
size-dependent asm instructions are specific to the ticket size.
The resulting generated asm is very similar to the current

formatting date strings
Hi all
I am a relatively new R user so please excuse this question if it has been
covered some where else, just tell me where to find it.
I have a simulation model that out puts dates in a standard dd/mm/yy format
R reads this as a factor and I cant find anything that will allow me to
convert them to a date. In S+ I have used a chron() function that required
you to specify the format of the

RE: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #3413 - 14 msgs
I have two grandstream budtetone-100 and cisco 7960g phones. When I talk via speaker phone on either of the phones I get a lot of echo. Any suggestions? Also how do I turn on the mark echo canceller.

asterisk 1.8 fax woes
I upgraded from a perfectly working 1.6.2 asterisk installation
(including fax via app_fax_digium) to 1.8.0 this evening.
All my custom modules (including swift <thanks darren!>) are working
fine except for fax.
When a caller connects, asterisk switches to the fax context and hangs
up the call.
i've captured with:
core set verbose 10
core set debug 10
fax set debug on

Fw: Re: Problems with load the most recent 2.6.29-rc6 & Xen unstable on ASUS P5K Premium
...yesterday (Boris: i hope your box
actually have a serial port as i had to get me a cheap Asus Barebone for that
;o) and watched them with the screen utility and there are quite a few repeating
backtraces before the whole box stops responding. I''ll do another run (after
pulling and building Jeremys remaining changes in) and catch the backtraces into
log files over the the next few hours to post them here.
