Installing plugins without svn:// access
Hi,
I''m trying to get up and running with rspec on a new project. I''d like to
install the rspec and rspec_on_rails plugins (per
http://rspec.rubyforge.org/documentation/rails/install.html), but my
corporate firewall blocks port 3690 so I can''t access the repository via
svn://
I searched the docs and the mailing-list archive to figure out how to
install the plugins

World Of Warcraft on FreeBSD 6.2
Has anyone been able to get World of Warcraft Burning crusade running
on FreeBSD 6.2 stable with wine 0.9.34 and a nvidia video driver?
I had it working on a earlier version of wine 9.22(I think it was)
if someone would mind posting some instructions on how to get this
working it would be great
Thank you Wine Devlopers for continued FreeBSD Support

Migrating Samba and Users to another Fedora 3 box
Hi...
I am planning on going from a 36-gig Raid-1 box to an 250-gig Raid-1
(ide) box. The current server is Fedora Core 3 and the new one will
also be Fedora Core 3. This box is only used for Samba (file sharing
and printer sharing). The system works great, I just need more space.
So, could someone please help me out with moving user info and /home
directory to the new box? Here are some of

...up, and
getting "permission denied" errors when trying to read
certain files from those shares.
A typical operation might look like this:
server:~# mount -t smbfs -o
username="\\LCLDOMAIN\backup",password="password"
//workstation/share /mnt/backup
server:~# tar jcvf /mnt/backup_drive/workstation.tar.bz2
/mnt/backup
The backup user has the SeBackupPrivilege right set, which
to my understanding should allow it read-access to every
file on those shares...?
server:~# net rpc rights list backup

Xen backups using LVM Snapshots
Hi all,
I am running Xen 3.2-1 / 2.6.18 on Debian Etch (Dom0).
I setup a Dom0 with several DomUs (Linux). Each DomU disk is a LV partition. I have been seeing a few mails about backups and LVM and just wanted to make sure that what I am doing is correct.
Each DomU with a database has a cron that dumps the db with mysqldump. Later on, Dom0 will do an LVM Snapshot of all DomUs and then do a
