Killing ssshd seassions
...s I read the users utmp entry and
kill the ut_pid in it.. It works fine if the user is not loged trought
ssh. If the user has a sshd seassion, killing the ut_pid doesnt work
though. I've done some workaround and got to this point :
ps -aux
root 26621 0.0 0.3 5940 1644 ? S 21:33 0:00 sshd: janez [priv] <-
the pid in utmp
janez 2356 0.0 0.3 5940 1720 ? S 21:34 0:00 sshd: janez at pts/5 <- the
right one to kill
pstree -hupa
|-sshd,19460
| `-sshd,26621
| `-sshd,2356,janez
| `-bash,10753
If killing the pid from utmp i get orphaned processes :

have the tools to communicate with the ibm RSA.
I am looking for a procedure to configure the RSA without using the bios and
when possible set a access password.
Is this the right tool to do this or am i misunderstanding something.

centos 5.5 on optiplex 745
...from intel to vesa it mostly
works, but still i sometimes get a flickering screen, but this can mostly be
resolved using ctrl+alt+backspace (sometimes you have to try this twice). We
use the 1024x768 and 24 bit colors, so this shouldn't be the problem.
Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

force b/w printing
Has anyone an idea, how to force users to print b/w on a color printer.
We are in the process to deploy color printers to some of our offices where
they use centos 5.5 as their OS. They need the printers to print some
advertisement material. But for everything else, they don't need it. And
because of the costs of the color printing we would like to force them to
use B/W where not explicitly

And now the question. Is there someone, that knows how this file locking
works and can giwe a suggestion what we are doing wrong.

CentOS 5 and DRPM
...tos 5.x?
I searched the net and I found a few indications that it is possible, but
there is very little info how to do it.
Just to be clear. With DRPMs i mean deltaRPMs. And with implementation i
mean What yum plugins are necessary and what has to be done on the yum
repository to make it work.

wine 1.2 on centos
...Has anyone tried the latest wine 1.2 RC on CentOS 5.5.
We have some applications that don't work with the latest stable release.
They require at least 1.1.34, but i would like to try 1.2.
If someone has tried 1.2 on centos. Do you have build packages somewhere
where i can get them?

centos on intel D945GCLF board
Hi,
I am trying to install centos on the intel D945GCLF board. It's a
mini-ITX board with the atom processor and it uses the Realtek RTL8102EL
LAN chipset. When I disable the on-board LAN card it installs and runs
OK, but when I enable it, I get kernel panic at boot.
The board runs perfectlj with Fedora 9 (with the latest kernel) or with
Ubuntu server.
My question is: is there some way

Hi folks,
In the company where i work, we are implementing a security standard. A part

problem installing centos 5.3 on IBM x3200 m2
Hi,
I am trying to install centos 5.3 on ibm x3200 m2 server. The problem
appears when the installer is about to finish the installation. It detects
the RAID correctly, but it doesn't finish formatting the root partition. I
tried the default partition layout and also a custom one, but it always ends
with the same message:
