10gR2, oifcfg fails on ocfs2
Howdy, I am trying to setup a 10gR2 RAC on top of some nbd devices. OS is Centos4.1/i386, (2.6.9-11.0.0.10.3.EL, ocfs2-2.6.9-11.0.0.10.3.EL-1.0.4-1). ocfs2 setup went perfectly well, btw. (besides the fact that ocfs2console apparently ignores nbd disks) mount says /dev/nbd1 on /opt/oradata/data1 type ocfs2 (rw,_netdev) on both nodes ls says (after runInstaller was started, so the files were

CentOS/SNMP update breaks MRTG?
I got itchy fingers over the weekend and decided to fix what wasn't broken and upgraded one of the older servers from Centos 5.2 to Centos 5.3. Following the recommended process of updating glibc and such before the rest, it appeared to work perfectly and rebooted without problem. However, MRTG 2.15.2 started complaining about unexpected values. I installed/updated both MRTG (2.16.2) and

Failed password
Hi, If there is a place to post this, please advise, but I am stuck. I have recently installed openssh-1.2.3 on a Red Hat 6.1 installation. Everything compile ok but I don't get no password auththenticcation. So I recompiled openssh-1.2.3 without PAM support and it still does not work. I can log into the system otherwise (shadow password is enabled). Here is what I have in my

[LLVMdev] 2.4 Pre-release (v1) Available for Testing
I should apologize. I have been trying to keep from attacking the current process that llvm uses for testing (although I do still agree that the current testing framework is more for testing llvm-gcc and not llvm), but I have not quite been so successful. Some basic background. I program for generally just two systems, Windows XP and FreeBSD. These are rather polar opposites, and most

Samba - Cups - WinXP SP2 Client
Hi All, I have a samba Server 3.0.14 installed on Ubuntu. I also have cups 1.1.23 installed. I have migrated an existing nt4 domain using this howto: http://de.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/ntmigration.html#id2570211 Samba is my PDC now, and no more windows servers are on the net. I have a network Printer Kyocera 1800+ Mita which is correctly configured via cups. I have preconfigured 3

[LLVMdev] Build times on ARM

I timed running ninja to build just llvm in Release+Asserts using clang as the host compiler. chromebook: real 84m30.939s user 163m50.145s sys 4m0.100s TK1: real 34m7.376s user 132m44.417s sys 3m3.543s A really nice

bash completion in C7
Hello there, while bash completion was working great to me in CentOS6, since I'm using C7 I spend my day stuck on completion not working the way it should. The bad situations I'm facing are: - it doesn't expand *foo whereas there are *foo-named files in current dir, for instance: # rm *foo will show nothing whereas there's a file barfoo in curdir. - completion takes 10

My linux users belong to a base "users" group, and some of them have "uagb" and/or "udc" as secondary groups. This is intended to put up a three-level secu...
