isoMDS and 0 distances
...B, cmdsA)
initial value 21.835691
final value 21.835691

The other approach I've tried is replacing the 0's with small numbers.
In this case isoMDS does reduce the stress values.
min(distA[which(distA>0)])
[1] 0.02325581
distC <- distA
distC[which(distC==0)] <- 0.001
isoC <- isoMDS(distC)

iter 5 value 16.862093
iter 10 value 16.451800
final value 16.339224

So my questions are: what am I doing wrong in the first example? Why
does isoMDS converge without doing anything? Is replacing the 0's with
small numbers an appropr...

sieve plugin - reject sends MDN. Can it 550 reject ?
...ith dovecot-1.2.11.
I have a reject test filter that looks like this:
require "reject";
if header :contains "subject" "reject" {
reject "bye";
}
Is there any way to get a "reject" filter to send back a 550 reject as
detailed in http://ietfreport.isoc.org/idref/rfc5429/#section-2.5 rather
than a MDN?
The MDN can result in blowback spam. :-(
Thanks,
Ken

X11 forwarding between from Mandrake(sshd) to Caldera(ssh) doesn't work!
...s.
On both boxes I downloaded the sources for openssh 1.2.2 and openssl
0.9.4 compiled and installed with defaults. I then enabled X11
forwarding in /etc/sshd/sshd_config and /etc/sshd/ssh_config.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not a member of this

Thanks in advance.

I do wish there was an 'free' SMIL player and a good low bitrate audio

I'll be happy to burn and mail cd's to any isoc/istf members
that are interested. mailto:joly@dti.net?subject=stallman
If you want video I'd have to clear it with gnu.org
One appeal that Stallman did make, which strikes me as reasonable, is
that in normal use when referring to the OS rather than just
the kernel - one use the designation GNU...

Do you have any ideas of what could be done from our community? Can we create special forums where we have a different climate, more languages and better understanding?
I also think we should copy ISOCs efforts and have a pre-astricon training/workshop for people that Inveneo locate and then invite them to Astricon, funded by grants form community or from somewhere else (since we lack an "Asterisk foundation" that could help here). I'm sure we can find resources to get them to Astri...

This may be interesting to some.
I recently discovered AllCast.com which has developed a p2p streaming
solution. Unfortunately they decided to use WMA due to it's video
capability but hopefully they could be presuaded to switch to Vorbis
later when Tarkin is available. For audio though, it appears a good way
to reduce bandwidth requirements at the broadcasting end and potentially

[LLVMdev] Cbackend is C99?
Hi,
I would like to know if the command
llc -march=c hello.bc
generates a c99 file or not. Is the cbackend target meant to be c99 or
normal C.

sieve fileinto rule (pigeonhole)
Hello,
i discovered that when a sieve rule "fileinto drawer;" tries to deliver
a mail into a non existent drawer, the drawer gets created.
This is neat, but is there also a way to automatically subcribe to the
created folder ?

The Empire Strikes Back
Unbelievable! These guys get more and more disgusting each day.
But now I have a proof that Linux and all its free software community (samba included) are
indeed growing and are indeed consideder a threat by M$. Expect more and dirtier moves.
Can you guys point me to more material on the subject?

Problems with Self extracting zip files
Hi folks,
I have a curious problem when executing self extracting zip files from a
samba share. Everything does work, but it is very very slow. Copying the
.exe onto local disk (from the samba share) takes no time at all
(500kb/sec). I would say it takes about 10 times as long to unzip when run
directly from the samba share. This happens will all self-extracting exe
files, and also from any share

OT: Sieve + Forward as Attachment
I know that this is technically not a Dovecot problem; however, I was
wondering if anyone knew if 'sieve' had been updated with the ability
to 'forward as attachment' a received document. I believe it has the
ability to forward a document; however, I need the ability to forward
it as an attachment if possible.
Also I believe, somewhat due to my asking for them, that sieve exits
