Accessing the -a and -d from dovecot-lda
I've got exim set up to deliver like this:
command = /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -a $original_local_part@$original_domain -d $local_part@$domain -f $sender_address
If an email to is bob+sales at ish.com.au then we should have "-a
bob+sales at subdomain.ish.com.au -d bob at ish.com.au".
Now in dovecot, only bob at ish.com.au is a real user but I want to be able
to use both addresses in different places. For LDAP lookup I need to
reference bob at ish.com.au. But in sieve, I need t...

lmer error:flist must be a non-empty list
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me advice regarding using the lmer
command in lme4 package to do logistic regression (mixed effects model).
I use the following command
lmer(ISH ~ArrayPathology2, random=~1|PatientID, data=HSDB4.noNA,
family="binomial")
where ISH is outcome(0 or 1), ArrayPathology2 is the variable of
interest(factor), PatientID is random effect(factor), and HSDB4.noNA is the
complete dataframe (column names ArrayPathology2, Patient ID and ISH etc...

Rmysql linking to an old-ish mysql build
Hi,
I'm trying to get Rmysql to work o windows server 2008 64-bit.
I have the latest build of mysql installed (mysql-5.1.34-winx64).
When trying to load Rmysql, I got a warning that Rmysql is linking to an
old-ish mysql build (5.0.67).
I could do some basic stuff (the connection works) but it breaks when
trying to read a large table.
So I set up to use the buld 5.0.67 that Rmysql likes.
10 hrs later and after lots of sysadmin work, I have to call it quits. I
couldn't make it work.
Since this mysql 5.0...

Monitoring SIP trunk status on call by call basis
Hi
I'm using asterisk 1.8.7.0 and adding a fail over trunk in case my
primary goes down. I'm wondering what the best method of checking if the
primary being up is.
Is DIALSTATUS suitable for this or is there any good SIP headers to look
at after the Dial step?
Thanks in Advance

New-ish list of hardware phone vendors
This is a fairly large list of hardware phones, features, and URLs,
with some vendors I've never heard of before on it. I suspect that
any phone that doesn't explicitly say "SIP" is an H.323 phone.

Mixing res_mysql and res_odbc
Hi
Is there any harm in using res_mysql for some things and res_odbc for
others?
We already use res_mysql for ARA but could do with having CEL logged to
MySQL.
Thanks in Advance

Call forwarding from Phones and getting the referrer IP
...receipt of an inbound call:
Got SIP response 302 "Moved Temporarily" back from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx
Which then triggers a local channel to make the call.
Is there any way I can access that IP address inside my dialplan? I've done
a ChanDump and there's no sign of it.

r-ish ? how can i improve my code?
...do some Monte-Carlo
type modelling of road "accidents".
Below, to simplify things, I've appended a little program which does a
'monte-carlo' type simulation. However, it is written in a way which
seems a bit un-natural in R. Could someone help me make this a bit more
R-ish please?
Or is there a completely different approach I should be taking?
Many thanks in advance,

Having a look at contrib/realtime/mysql/sippeers.sql from the source code
shows that the encryption column is completely absent and tls is not an
option for transport.
Does this mean I can't configure a peer to use TLS and SRTP if using ARA?
Are there any workarounds?
Thanks in advance

res_rtp_asterisk.so problem with minimal (ish) chan-sip based Asterisk
Hi,
For years I've been running a minimal (ish) SIP based Asterisk with

Asterisk the machine the latest incarnation of this configuration has
been updated to Debian Buster and thus to Asterisk 16. Since this
upgrade I have a dependency problem related to res_rtp_asterisk.so.

Centos-compatible motherboards
Hi all!
I'm toying with the idea of spending some Christmas money on a new MB and
CPU to upgrade my desktop.
Although I've always been partial to AMD chips, I'm tempted this time to
find something Intel-ish, I5, quad core, or so.
In looking at mommyboards at New Egg and Amazon, I find so many I am
unable to make reasonable determinations regarding suitability, so am
hoping some of you who have new(ish) intel-compatible boards could
offer some hints.
Also, I'd like to keep the cost of MB, CPU a...
