Asterisk & iSeries AS/400
Hey everybody,
I'm currently look for a script that would allow:
Querying a client, via an IVR for things such as zipcode, Area code
or maybe a portion of the last name.
Using that information to make a Linux ODBC query to an iSeries
AS/400 database.
The information gained from that query would be converted to an
audio stream that is then played back to the client.
I've downloaded and purchased the Diane voice from Cepstral and pretty
sure that I can do the IVR easily enough, but am not really sure on how
to do the...

distinguishing identical multiple usbhid-ups devices
HI
I would like to connect several Cyberpower Value 800E devices

them in order to correctly identify because lsusb -vvvv -d and upsc
show the same device name and serial number is 0

Hello list,

2.2.7a and 64-bit AIX
Can anyone think of an issue with 2.2.7a compiled on IBM's 64-bit compiler
running on the 64-bit kernel?
I've confirmed that everything appears to be in order on the AIX 5.1
system.
We are running it successfully and it is screaming fast! I just wanted to
know if there is potential for disaster that I've not thought of...
On a related note 2.2.7a is running perfectly with both

Winbind scalability issue
In other people's environments or test situations, what kind of scalability
do you see with winbind? How many aggressive users can be supported?
Using:
Suse SLES 8 for ibm iSeries
Samba authentication with winbind against win2k active directory.
at the moment, a 100 FD network connection
3 windows DC's to authenticate against.

multiple identical UPS on same server
Hi everyone,
I installed latest version of Nut on Debian Wheezy 64bit.
This is a virtual server hosted by VMware ESXi. It's a Nagios monitoring server.
I configured one Sweex UPS in ups.conf and everything is working.
ups.conf:
[sweex1]
driver = blazer_usb
port = auto
runtimecal = 1100,100,2200,50
Now I want to connect two more identical UPSes to the same server, total of

powermust usb
Hi,
I have a powermust with a usb connector.
I searched the archive and found this post:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-April/000816.html
Must I abandon hope of controlling this UPS via USB
with NUT?
Added this line to
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-nut-usbups.rules:
# OMRON - usbhid-ups

The 'port' is not used for USB connected devices, it's only needed for
compatibility reasons.

AS/400 -> eServer iSeries -> System i -> Power Systems
RS/6000 -> eServer pSeries -> System p -> Power Systems
So the current 'Power Systems' range combines what was AS/400 with what
was RS/6000. They all use Power CPUs now and run Linux, IBM i, or AIX.
"IBM i" is, of course the operating...

Is anyone replicating .5TB or higher?
Greetings!
I've heard about using rsync to replicate data across the WAN, but need to know
if anyone is using it on a large scale.
I have a client who is contemplating consolidating Windows file/print servers
into a Linux partition on an iSeries. The show stopper is whether rsync (or
any replication product) can and will replicate a) at the file level, and b)a
database approaching .6TB in size. Automation and accuracy are key.
Thanks in advance for any information!

Samba, DOS, ARJ
....arj. When this archive is on network drive shared by samba unpacking does infinite loop.
For example arj l x:\xxx.arj produce never ending listing (and start of this listing is very slow). When this
archive file is on network drive shared by windows (2k or XP) or NetServer (windows sharing on IBM
iSeries - AS/400) all work fine.
I don't know where start with this problem. Can somebody help me ?

Quick trick on matching USB root hubs to PCI ids
Hi all,
I was looking through some archived posts in this forum, and noticed a few people mentioning having to use trial and error when trying to use PCI passthrough to get a USB root hub passed through to a HVM domU. I thought I''d share something I noticed which made this much easier for me.
Say I wanted to pass through a root hub which has my USB Plantronics headset connected to
