Asterisk & iSeries AS/400
Hey everybody, I'm currently look for a script that would allow: Querying a client, via an IVR for things such as zipcode, Area code or maybe a portion of the last name. Using that information to make a Linux ODBC query to an iSeries AS/400 database. The information gained from that query would be converted to an audio stream that is then played back to the client. distinguishing identical multiple usbhid-ups devices

I'd like if usbhid-ups could distinguish them from the hubbed port they are plugged in. However different serial number would be great. Can I...

I've found another strange issue that prevented me to test this solution. VMware ESXi is filtering out serial number information, together with iManufacturer and iProduct. This is from lsusb -v done from s...

2.2.7a and 64-bit AIX
Can anyone think of an issue with 2.2.7a compiled on IBM's 64-bit compiler running on the 64-bit kernel? I've confirmed that everything appears to be in order on the AIX 5.1 system. We are running it successfully and it is screaming fast! I just wanted to know if there is potential for disaster that I've not thought of... On a related note 2.2.7a is running perfectly with both

Is anyone replicating .5TB or higher?
Greetings! I've heard about using rsync to replicate data across the WAN, but need to know if anyone is using it on a large scale. I have a client who is contemplating consolidating Windows file/print servers into a Linux partition on an iSeries. The show stopper is whether rsync (or any replication product) can and will replicate a) at the file level, and b)a database approaching .6TB

Samba, DOS, ARJ
Hello All, I have problem on workstations with PC-DOS 2000 with MS Network Client 3.0 connected to Samba 3.0.14a-0.4 (default on SLES 9) when I want to use ARJ.EXE (latest version 2.84) and unpack archive xxxx.arj. When this archive is on network drive shared by samba unpacking does infinite loop. For example arj l x:\xxx.arj produce never ending listing (and start of this listing is very slow).

Quick trick on matching USB root hubs to PCI ids
...at the device is on the following: Bus 011 Device 006: ID 047f:c006 Plantronics, Inc. It also shows me the root hub for Bus 011: Bus 011 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub You can then run the following command, either as root or via sudo: # lsusb -s 011:001 -v | grep iSerial iSerial 1 0000:00:16.0 And the PCI id is 0000:00:16.0 Hope this helps, David
