Insecure /tmp handling in isdnlog
The isdnlog program (provided by isdn4k-utils.tar.gz) creates a
root-owned temp file called /tmp/isdnctrl (or /tmp/isdnctrl0) and
no checking for symbolic links is done. The file is opened append only,
a user can make a symbolic from /tmp/isdnctrl to any file and mess
things up.

asterisk + i4l problems
...ed rights on devices (to be sure i changed to 666 both ttyI0 and ttyI1)
I also did the test suggested in the voip-info.org page, and i can succesfully communicate between the two ttyI* devices.
So i really don't know what problem is this :(
oh: I use i4l asterisk driver because i need to use isdnlog, and i dont know if other drivers allow me to still use it .
During my tests i tried to kill isdnlog (i dont know if it may block the devices) but i got always those errors :(
Thank you

Problems with chan-capi
Hi,
i have a debian-system with the asterisk 1:0.9-1 packages and chan-capi
0.3.1-2 installed.
My chan-capi seems to be out-of-order.
Capi and I4l work in general.
I can use isdnlog and capi4hylafax.
Using chan_modem_i4l with the sam context work fine too.
But no incoming calls are answered by asterisk over chan-capi.
If have 2 isdn-card: a passive avm a1 (i4l/hisax) and a active avm b1 (capi).
I also tried the 1.0-1 asterisk packages from debian testing.
Please help

NEWBIE - No Audio on ISDN BRI (Teles PCI)
...m X-Ten client but here's my real problem: NO AUDIO
AT ALL! I can't hear anything, nor can the other party.
Does anyone here now anything about it? Am I doing anything wrong?
I'm new to ISDN under Linux, but I think it's ok since the calls are
corectly routed and I can see info on isdnlog. I also tested my card on
minicom, as suggested on voip-info.
One more question: can I route SIP calls to a ISDN (digital) phone connected
on the same bus? How do I set the TEI on which the call should be answered,
in case it's possible?
By the way, I never used this ISDN card to place/receiv...

AVM C2 capi.conf ?
...e
to:
You will need a section for each controller in /etc/asterisk/capi.conf so
the C2 will have 2 sections.
But how is look like this ?
Only on the first port is asterisk assume connections, but nothing on the
second card port. In the dmesg is only the capidrv-1 shown, no capidrv-2,
only the isdnlog is shown the incoming call on the second port.
Has anyone an usable (capi.conf?) configration ?
Thx in advanced and regards,
Andreas.

ISDN busy line
I'm trying using Asterisk over an isdn line. I configured my Eicon Diva
card by the hisax module and it works with the Asterisk's chan_modem
(and chan_modem_i4l) driver. The problem is that I can receive calls (on
/dev/ttyI0) but when I make a call I always have the line busy (on
ttyI0 but even if I use an other device like ttyI1). This is a part of
my consol output:

VT-d not working
Hello there,
I am using a Gigabyte H55M-UD2H (Intel H55-Chipset) together with a
Core-i5-650.
According to Gigabyte Support the Mainboard does support VT-d. Well,
actually support says, that VT-d does work on Windows-7 in XP-Mode.
They do not test and support Linux though.
Did anybody here have success using VT-d on any H55-Board?
Perhaps it is some misconfiguration on my side. I tried a

ISDN debugging and SIP dial-in issue

my setup is quite simple: an asterix CVS of 2003-11-15 on a

asterisk is 192.168.1.10).

server being 192.168.1.190
- with an ISDN AVM c4 i4l card on an ISDN connection with 2 channels.
I try to:

Hello!
After LOTS of research on this list and internet in general I managed
to get
an old Teles PCI card working with Asterisk throught ISDN4Linux.
No echos, no delays, simply perfect -- electronic poetry ! :)
eheheheheh
I just didn't get it to work with CAPI and "chan_capi" but, since
isdn4linux
is doing such a good job, I'll

I added some printf()'s in channels/*modems*.c and the adequate AT
commands are sent, something wrong is happening but it's not Asterisk's
fault.
