Configuring Patton SmartNode with ISDN2e and Asterisk
Hello Does anyone have any experience with configuring BT (British Telecom) ISDN2e lines to work with Patton SmartNodes - and then Asterisk? I have a Patton SmartNode 4638, which is now connected to 3 x ISDN2e lines - and in turn connected to our internal LAN. I'm having huge issues configuring the SmartNode to successfully "see" the ISDN channels - and to be ho...

Problems with chan-capi and Eicon Diva 4BRI
...k outage the logfiles only show incoming (PSTN->Asterisk->PBX) calls, no outgoing. Thus I suspect that the Asterisk<-->PBX link was broken. In the Asterisk message file I only see "Recovery on timer expiry" errors, like below: Oct 20 17:18:18 VERBOSE[19772] logger.c: == ISDN2#02: Incoming call '347xxxxx' -> '32xx' Oct 20 17:18:18 VERBOSE[19772] logger.c: -- ISDN2#02: Updated channel name: CAPI/ISDN2/32xx-8ab6 Oct 20 17:18:18 VERBOSE[2663] logger.c: -- Executing Dial("CAPI/ISDN2/32xx-8ab6", "CAPI/g2//b|90") in new stack O...

Mount point goes invisible
I'm just getting started, and getting quite a strange result. I've been able to mount my (login hal) Linux home directory as E: on my w95 system, but when I try to "smbmount //isdn2/AMDAHL-WORK /mnt/amdahlwork", where /mnt/amdahlwork is an empty directory on Linux, isdn2 is defined in /etc/hosts as 192,168.1.2, the address the W95 box uses, and AMDAHL-WORK is the name under which a certain W95 directory is shared, I get # smbmount //isdn2/AMDAHL-WORK /mnt/amdahlwork Adde...

Also, does anybody know if the AVM B1 V4 card has the echo problems, I believe I saw somebody mention they had echo problems on the V3 card. Asterisk + Patton ISDN2e gateway (UK)
I know I asked this some time back, and I got no response then, and neither did someone who asked at the start of 2009 either by the looks of it (other than a reply from me to use a PCI card!!!) However I now have a client who'd bought one of these boxes and installed ISDN2e - against my advice (because I got no feedback here, therefore they're junk with asterisk, right?) However I'm currently stuck with it and it's a right royal PITA to program up by the look of it - I've done all the obvious stuff, and am now wading through their 600+page manual,...

Advice on ISDN and Asterisk in the UK
...What I'm looking for is some plain speaking advice on ISDN. Currently using 4 analog lines connecting via a four port TDM400P FXO card. We need to physically move our installations, and on requesting the analog lines be moved - our telco (BT) is suggesting we replace our analog lines with ISDN2. We would have 3 x ISDN2 connections, giving us six voice channels. They've even offered us free installation of the lines (as opposed to a ?560 charge for moving the analog lines!) What hardware would you recommend in the Asterisk box? I don't mind admitting I'm a newb and a lot o...

OT: BRI ISDN question
I am going to try and use a passive AVM fritz BRI card for my * setup.. Here is the thing.. I need to order my BRI from BT.. The service that looks to be the one to use is what they call ISDN 2e becasue this has the option to setup hunt groups across multiple ISDN2e lines so I could add another line later to get 4 channels.. According to the BT website in order to use the hunt grouping across multiple lines the line has to be installed in what they call "system access" using a "T" interface which can be seen here.. http://www.bt.com/isdn/...

Atcom IP-4B ISDN IP PBX?
Hello For customers who need a small IP PBX to handle up to four ISDN lines (in France, so I guess that means EuroISDN) instead of a PC + Asterisk and an ISDN gateway box, has someone already played with the Atcom IP-4B? www.atcom.cn/IP-BRIM.html Any feedback appreciated.

quadBRI and UK ISDN2e
Morning Asterikians, I've just got my nice shiny quadBRI card, and it seems to be working very well - except for one little issue - CallerID. The card is currently connected to an ISDN2e line in P2P mode, and an S0 adapter on our existing alcatel PBX. The S0 connection recieves callerID and displays it correctly - the 2e line doesn't, and BT have said that CLID was enabled on the line two days ago. Does anyone have any pointers on this? My configuration is avaliable on re...

ISDN2 facility code...
I am trying to send 'codes' over an isdn2 link - such as *#24# - to activate call forwarding. But it doesn't work. I have tried sending it as a straight dial, and also as a DTMF string...but no luck... I spoke to a telco tech and he said I had to send a facility code....huh? Anyone with any ideas on this one? AVM C2 chan_capi-cm-0.6.3 Error on Dial
I'm getting a strange error on one of the two controllers on an AVM C2 card under chan_capi-cm-0.6.3. I have two ISDN controllers defined, both in the same group, both connections are UK ISDN2e Point to Point: On the third outbound call (both of the first two calls are handled by the second controller "ISDN2",) I get this error : chan_capi.c conf_error 0x2001 PLCI=0x301 Command=CONNECT_B3_CONF,0x8487 Does anyone have any idea what's going on here ? Advice on BT ISDN Services (UK)
...ow on and off, just SIP to SIP calls, using FWD and suchlike. I'm moving house at the beginning of September and have decided to build an Asterisk based system for my home office. I'm in the UK and wonder if anyone can give me advice on lines and hardware to use. Had planned to go with an ISDN2e line coupled with a BT Speedway ISDN card [1] from eBay for the PSTN side and Cisco 2940 and 2960G devices talking SIP for the internal phones. In addition to this I want to have extra numbers provided to me (MSN??) by BT and then set up Asterisk to handle calls differently depending on what nu...

Info on UK ISDN30e?
...erisk so we can do all our own CallerID / call logging / analyses, and make use of IP Phones / teleworking, etc. The problem begins in that I only have a very loose grasp of the telco world. Has anyone used ISDN30e in the UK with the Digium E1 cards? What options are there to stick on a couple of ISDN2's on top of that should we require some 'backup lines'. Do BT terminate the ISDN30e in a format that I can literally just plug into the Digium cards, or will I need some kind of adapter (whether electronics or even just a simple socket/plug changer)? I'm trying to gather some tang...

Howto analyze concurrent ISDN channel usage
Hi, Does anyone have a suggestion how I can analyze the concurrent usage of ISDN channels? A client complains about their clients sometimes getting a busy tone when trying to call them. I suspect they just need to add an additional ISDN2 line but I need some conclusive information that they are indeed maxing out their ISDN channels. Thanks, Patrick

Voicetronix Openline 4 + asterisk
Any one has documented how-tos for making voicetronix openline 4 to work with Asterisk. I have been contacting Australian Digium resellers and Digium cards are not approved in Australia. So I suppose Australian users are interested into putting Voicetronix in use. Any expereience to share will be most appreciated.
