Finding DLL's
I've searched the web pages, docs and archives but I can't find the answer to
my question. How does wine locate dll's for a native windows application?
Specifically, I'm trying to get QuickBooks Pro to run and it can't find
IPROF32.dll eventhough it is in the same directory as the .exe and that
directory is in the path. Can somebody point me to the proper docs or
suggest a procedure to troubleshoot this problem? Here's the output from an
attempt to execute QuickBooks:

Quickenw does not start at all:((
I am using wine more than four years without problem. Now I installed SuSE 8.0

Problem using Quicken 2002, Fedora core 3, various Wine versions
We are experiencing an odd problem when using the combination of Quicken
2002, Fedora core 3, and Wine version 20050111 for fedora core 1.
When we open the "Split Transaction Window", the window appears to go
into an event loop. We are able to eventually break the loop by
clicking on the drop down window menu. Sometimes it will break out with
the window correctly sized, sometimes it

Quicken Accounting software.
...dissappeared and by a
process of trial and error found out which other files where needed and
also put them into the wine "windows/system" directory and hey presto,
it worked.
So finally, the files that I needed to copy into the wine
"windows/system" directory are:
mfc42.dll, iprof32.dll, q_encutl.dll and genclib.dll.
The last "q_enclib.dll I had to copy from my windows system as I could
not find it elsewhere easily, after which it worked.
It was not perfect and I have yet to test it but it does at least run.
So for those who want to run Quicken under Freebsd or perhaps...
