POP daemon
What would be a good POP daemon to use? I know there are a few in the mail ports. Are they any good? What I mean by good is 'secure as possible' (is there really such thing as being totally secure / invulnerable?) Cheers

Internet threat management package
...e that implies that I'm not giving money to companies that only provide software for Windows. (or, supporting companies that provide software solutions for Linux, depending on how you look at it.) Not even sure if I have the right idea. I would assume that Linux clients are not completely invulnerable to virii, spyware, and rootkits, and that it would make sense, in a small corporate environment to guard against them, the same as Windows machines... but the lack of options seems to suggest otherwise? Anyone have any tips, advice, or recommendations? Thanks!! -- J.

Another Fedora decision
...2. PDFs can be created by *NON-ADOBE* software. And SWFs can be generated by non-Adobe software, and JARs can be generated by non-Oracle software. What?s your point? Is it that only Evil Corporations can create software that can be used for evil purposes? Are you back on the ?F/OSS software is invulnerable? bandwagon already, after being knocked off it a week or two back? > PDF's (well most of > them) can be opened by non-Adobe PDF-type software. So what do you do when you get a PDF that *can?t* be opened by your non-Adobe PDF reader? Do you discard it and go find another way to get the...

WineHQ database compromise
Hi, I am sad to say that there was a compromise of the WineHQ database system. What we know at this point that someone was able to obtain unauthorized access to the phpmyadmin utility. We do not exactly how they obtained access; it was either by compromising an admins credentials, or by exploiting an unpatched vulnerability in phpmyadmin. We had reluctantly provided access to phpmyadmin to the

Dom0 crashing on x86_64
I am seeing a problem with Dom0 crashing on x86_64 whenever I create a DomU. I''ve done some more testing, and it appears that this problem is somehow related to networking. Dom0 crashes as soon as the networking services are started when DomU is coming up. As an experiment, I brought up DomU without networking, and it stayed up. As soon as I started DomU with networking enabled, however,
