detecting extensions in use
Hi all,
We've got a department that has 5 phones using a * 1.0.9 box. They need
to have an extension that rings all 5 phones at the same time. Getting
all of the phones to ring isn't a problem, but they are running into a
problem with the phones ringing in their ears when they are already on a
call.
Example:
Caller one calls the queue, all of the phones rings, and employee one

picking a cvs-head version
Hi all,
Are there any good guidelines or resources for picking a relatively
stable version of cvs-head? We're building a new server and need some
of the features that aren't in stable, but the latest cvs-head crashes
when trying to do a couple things we need.
We were able to find when the features we need were introduced, but
would like find a better method for finding a usable

asterisk knows best? softphones
Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a vpn so we can access our asterisk server from the
outside. We're using OpenVPN and the vpn portion seems to work
beautifully. The problem come in when trying to use a sip softphone
over the vpn. The softphones are able to register and the sip session
works fine for dialing in and out until the call is established. Then
