four wildcards in a single pc
Hi. Please excuse me asking this again. But it really puzzles me. We're installing asterisk at a branch office at NJ (HQ is at Petach-Tikva) It'll need to support 5 POTS lines, 11 analog extensions and four VOIP phones. I wanted to go with a T1 card from digium and a channel bank, but we have a dead line. It has to be up and running by January 1st. I don't have the time to start

what the role platform-pci play in comunication between HVM and domain0
...in0 catch this event, and assoicate it with a handler 2.the opposite direction, how does domain0 send event to HVM guest? Does it do something through the platform-pci? what the platform-pci does first? Does it create a virtual pci device? Then does domain0 send event to this pci device to fire a interupt ? How does it do this? Finally, I just need to deal with this interupt? Something like that, i hope someone can give a detailed depiction that can make me draw a flow chart. Thanks. RE: Two questions
I am happy using icecast/ices, but have two questions: 1. If I was using cron to schedule a switching of a playlist, can I do this without restarting icecast so that at a SPECIFIC TIME (let's say at exactly 3:00 pm) a new song can be played without interupting the user listening to the broadcast. 2. Is there a setting when the user first connects to play a *welcome* file (i.e. about the radio station, etc....) Just curious, Regards, Murray Saul

Nvidia card fails with new kernel 2.6.9-42.EL
I have a NVIDIA 5200 FX graphics card. After reinstalling the nvidia driver for kernel 2.6.9-42-EL and doing a startx command from lvl 3, the x window software issues a failed to get interupt from graphics driver. I tried to reinstall the graphics driver again and got the same results. I changed back to the previous kernel and reinstalled the nvidia driver and the problem went away. I am at wonder why this would happen with a kernel upgrade from centos. -- Richard Miles Federal Way WA...

set off error messages
Hello there! I'm creacting a loop for(i in 1:n){...}within which I build a nls model at each iteration. for some of the values of i, the algoritm in the nls function doesn't converge or cannot find a solution and consequently an error message is produced, and so my loop is interupted. The errors don't really matter to me as all the other values might still be useful and therefore I want to ignore the errors, so that that the return of the models for which no solution is found should just be NA values, so that I get a value for every i. How can I turn off the error message...

Wildcard X100P or TDM400P?
I'm looking to add a single FXO port to my Asterisk box. It looks like my options are a Digium Wildcard X100P off eBay for $6.99, or a Wildcard TDM400P with an FXO Module from Digium for $125. Can anyone explain the tradeoffs (other than the ability to put 4 FXO/FSO modules on the TDM400P). What about RTC for the system - I know the TDM400P provides it. Does the X100P? Thanks!

Not enough lines available for Asterisk implemetation
...es). I know that the VoIP will absorb at least on brick worth of lines but that still leaves me with a need for 30 ISDN lines. As far as I can tell most of the Digicom cards have 4 FXS ports and I've read on this list that at most two could coincide in a box simultaneously without causing an interupt flood. 1) is my info okay so far? 2)What would be the best way for be to implement the other 22 lines? Is there hardware I'm not aware of? -- Regards Wayne Gemmell Tel & Fax: (011) 894-4081 Cell : 072 836 4325 Email : wayne@terico.co.za

Upgrade 4 to 8 Analog Lines Question
...office with a T1 that provides 4 (out of 8) analog PSTN lines thru an adtran board. I want to add 4 more analog lines. Currently I have a Digium TDM40B. I'm wondering what the best upgrade path is, where I define 'best' as the solution that is most likely to work without problems (like interupt conflicts) and work with my current echo tuning . I see my purchase options as follows: 1) TDM40B - use with the current TDM40B 2) Sangoma Remora A20200 - use with the current TDM40B 3) Sangoma Remora A20400 - replace the current TDM40B Any info will be greatly appreciated. [PATCH] virtio: Remove virtio device during shutdown
Currently shutdown is nop for virtio devices, but the core code could remove things behind us such as MSI-X handler etc. For example in the case of virtio-scsi-pci, the device may still try to send interupts, which will be on IRQ lines seeing MSI-X disabled. Those interrupts will be unhandled, and may cause flood. Remove the device in "shutdown" callback to allow device drivers clean up things.
