2. The IPv6 Privacy Problem...that is especially important in the area of computer telephony...
3. There is no shortage of IPv4 Address Space [1]
4. The 160 bits in the IPv4 Header can easily be used to store up to 43 bits of addressing (4+7=11+32=43)
5. The AM/FM InterNAT bit in the IPv4 Header can also be used to differentiate Next Generation higher-quality services...
...Asterisk is a natural extension of the NAT transition/evolution and helps to negate any need for IPv6...

chan_sccp bug / problem
Hi list!
I'm having some problems with chan_sccp and a Kirk IP600. Basically the
handsets work (they emulate a Cisco 7940) but I have the following issues:
1. If a handset is in a conversation and there is a new incoming call,
the incoming audio is muted (but the other party can still hear anything
spoken on the handset). What is normal Asterisk behaviour, that a handset

rsyncd.conf: "timeout=<minimal>" crazyness
...ine at this world which is capable to hold
all this extremely hot stuff in buffercache at once, so all the servers
serving SUSE plus DEBIAN (at least those) are stressed with disk I/O like
never before, like me.
You can NOT understand what I say if you only have a 100 MBit/sec
connection to the internat, and I beg you to imagine what would happen to
you if you had "unlimited" bandwidth if you like to undrrstand what I am
trying to point out.
Unlimited bandwith is not THE freedom - it is simply a joke to make you
see your REAL bottlenecks...
This "acceptance" is OK, this is...

Local network rejecting traffic
...ve connected WAN port with settings of my linux box and
then created one more local network behind hardware router. It works fine.
I then wanted to use VPN function of this hardware router, so i created
ACCEPT and DNAT rules on shorewall so that all traffic is permited from one
external IP to this internat IP of hardware router.
Now i know that the connection works fine if i try to send packets from my
hardware router to other side, but when the hardware router from the other
side responds, I get REJECT error on the shorewall. I dont understand why is
shorewall rejecting local traffic. This is the m...
