hi all what does it mean if the total network speed on internal LAN is greater than the external LAN and why it happens? the extrnal LAN here is the Intenet using a dedicated bandwidth. and BTW the linux box NATting has no shapping at all. just direct piping

Host is at .1, Photosmart is at .251 /etc/services contains an entry for sane-port xinet.d/ has a file for sane and sane-port (both identical) iptables allows all outbound and established. I've gone through several sets of guidance found on the Intenet. Almost all is for usb or scsi. Very little guidance on sane-net. Finally found one good set of guidance and followed it to configure dll.conf, and net.conf. I've looked at sane.net man page untill I'm cross-eyed. I have been doing this for a while, and I can now say with certainty that the Samba guide for adding a member server is broken as far as PAM setup is concerned. When I follow the guide to the T, I can no longer SSH into the box or even login on the local console.
