About Unicorn Rack handler
Hi, A couple days ago, I was trying to run Unicorn for Ramaze, and found that `Unicorn.run'' didn''t share the same interface with other Rack handlers, i.e. `options[:Host]'' and `options[:Port]'' Because of this, I can''t just use: Rack::Handler.register(''unicorn'', ''Unicorn'') And invoke this:

Webgeb 0.5.x possible in Windows XP?
Hi Colin, I think fcgi is only required for testing. I do without it and directly open the output files in my browser. Maybe try saying no to ramaze or whatever depends on fcgi? OT: OGG in the mainstream
...it takes to reach mainstream, I have no idea.. When perhaps the majority of hardware players support OGG Vorbis playback and stuff like Shoutcast supports Vorbis, then it will probably happen. (lets face facts, the majority of small broadcasters are ignorant of icecast and like all human beings are innately lazy, therefore they'll stick with shoutcast.. So until shoutcast and its dsp supports vorbis they'll be broadcasting in mp3 only) Mark <p>-----Original Message----- From: owner-icecast@xiph.org [mailto:owner-icecast@xiph.org] On Behalf Of Brandon Sent: 14 July 2003 21:50 To: icec...

Check results between two data.frame
Dear R-user, I'm trying to compare two sets of results and wanted to find out which element in the two data frame/matrix are different. I wrote the following function and it works ok, and gives me a long list of "good" as outcomes. CHECK<- function (x = "file1", y = "file2") { for (i in 1:nrow(x)) { for (j in 1:ncol(x)) { if (x[i, j]

Solr -> Xapian ?
I hope you are aware that "linking with Xapian" requires somewhat more work than just -lxapian in linker? If you or someone feels like writing fts_xapian, go for it. Solr -> Xapian ?
A starting point would be to have a look at the current FTS plugins: https://github.com/dovecot/core/tree/master/src/plugins/fts-solrandhttps://github.com/dovecot/core/tree/master/src/plugins/fts-squat -M Am Freitag, den 04.01.2019, 18:17 +0800 schrieb Joan Moreau via dovecot: > Why not, but please guide me about the core structure (mandatory > funcitons, etc..) of a typical Dovecot FTS

Solr
The real main differecne seems coming from "diffconfig.xml" When I put yours, Solr delete (!) schema.xml and create a "manage-schema" and starts complaining about useless types (tdates, booleans, etc..) that are not needed for Mail fileds When I put mine (from standard distribution of Arch), it keeps things as they are (yeah !), does not complains about those useless types

Aggregating frequency of irregular time series

Gabor and Dirk and Brian Ripley and others on the list were very helpful to me in getting to the point where I could write this, though obviously they should not be blamed for my bad code! :-) I would be very happy if listers could give me ideas on how to do this better. Daily to monthly is innately easier since months are 'more normal' than weeks. I have perl code which does this, which supports 2 cases: Reporting the last traded price (LTP) of the month versus reporting the average of the month. If this is useful to you, ask me. Server Question
...have a working Icecast server accepting a Shout playlist, and a PPP connection with my isp. I have my servername set to my own IP address. It says in the Icecast documentation that all I need to run an Icecast server (besides the software) is a "box". My question is, is there something innately server-ish which needs to be setup on my machine? I'm running Icecast/Shout on FreeBSD/XFree86 and haven't had any problems with connecting to the internet, but when I try to play the stream from a completely different IP address/computer using Winamp I get an error message "http retu...

Wine on different distributions
After trying several Windows apps with Wine on Linux, if I haven't misunderstood, I've learned that Wine may differ in compatibility depending on what distribution I'm using. I have seen one application working on a certain distro while on another one it crashes, provided I'm using same Wine version (usually latest one) and installing the same application the normal way. But then

Education - 1, 000s, 100, 000's, Millions of listeners. (What kind of infrastructure)
Dear all My 5 cents (or Rappen in CH) if it comes to serving many clients. We are running a 4 node cluster since several years ? rock solid and w/o any issues. This cluster serves many thousands of listeners from all over the world. Our source transcoder sending the audio streams to each Node. Hence, transcoding power is not an issue here. The four Nodes a geographically dispersed in 3

v1.2.beta2: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor
Hi Timo, I'm playing with Dovecot v1.2.beta2 currently. When the dict process was started via deliver(?) and Dovecot is killed (kill $PID_OF_DOVECOT) after delivering only one message, it logs: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor If the dict process was not started or deliver has delivered more than one message, the error doesn't occur. I'm not using

Installing packages on Debian linux
I run Debian, and I do a mix of two paths: install using apt-get and install using install.packages() under R. Both work and it's safe to use both together. However, as has been pointed out, you tend to get dumped with multiple copies of some packages since the two channels lead to two different directories (/usr/local/lib/R/site-library for install.packages() and /usr/lib/R/site-library for
