Dial from php
Hi all, Here is the situation. Linux workstation access a web page on a web server (not the one running Asterisk). From that web page, we need to initiate a dial-out on the Asterisk server and once the call is connected, it must ring on the agent's hard phone. Any pointers about how to initiale an Asterisk call from a remove web server? Thanks, Andre Courchesne

Smbmount (2.2.3a) and windows
Hi All, We changed out our main web server this morning in favor of linux/apache, and everything was working well, except that we make smbmounts to the old web server (it's xxx.xxx.xxx.51 now), the apache web server is xxx.xxx.xxx.2, and when xxx.xxx.xxx.51 died, all the machines communicating with it (via smbmount) stopped responding EXCEPT for the apache web server, which was issuing

OpenSSH-2.2.0p1 cores in openssl-0.9.6's bn_print.c
The bug is pretty simple: bn_print.c in openssl-0.9.6's crypto lib says you must use OPENSSL_free on the return value from Bn_bn2dec, yet key.c simply calls free on the buffer. I changed it, but it didn't fix the problem I'm seeing. I don't know if what I'm seeing is a known bug (didn't see it anywhere on the web site). I get a core dump when trying to connect to another

dmidecode Output
Hey Y'all, How much can I trust the output of dmidecode? The manual that came with my MB says that my MB can support up to 2 Gb of DDR2 RAM. dmidecode seems tell me that I can load up to 8 Gb on this MB. As 4 Gb DDR2 sticks cost about $100 each I figured maybe I should ask, what's the chances that I can plug in two 4 Gb sticks in this machine and actually have it work? [root at

Security question for newbie
Hi, I am using Samba version 3.051 in an Active Directory setting with Windows 2000 server. Everything is working rather well with regards to file-sharing and authentication. However, the one thing that I noticed that I haven't been able to fix quickly with SWAT is the prevention of browsing the Linux file-system with users such as 'nobody' or 'bin'. For example... I have a

Browsing between linux boxes
My problem appears to be too simple to be addressed in the documentation, being a linux-to-linux problem. This is a mixed home lan, but the majority of file sharing is done between three linux boxes. All three have a public directory, but the one on box1 is mainly used for file sharing. All of this worked well with our old Samba 2 setup, but has now gone to pieces. Two of the boxes are

Unreasonable syntax error
http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/file/n3612530/PSC.r PSC.r Hi all, I just wrote a program in R by editing it in Microsoft Word and then pasting into the text editor of R. The above is the file. And below is what the console complains.... Why doesn't it recognise 'r'?? I have to mention that at least when I typed this first several lines into the console, the first error didn't
