Translation of centos-indexhtml package
Dear translators!
The centos-indexhtml package is getting a new design and I am wondering
if: would you be interested in providing translations for it? This
package provides the web browser's default page with an introduction
about CentOS Stream 9, taken from the wiki and web site.
Take a look at the following project:

License question: centos-indexhtml
Hi, and sorry to bug you all for something so simple:
The project in which I am working would like to use CentOS, but it has very strict requirements regarding licensing.
The item that I have had trouble with is centos-indexhtml-6-1.el6.centos.src.rpm. Within it, the License is only identified as 'distributable', which is not precise enough.
Is there any way of contacting the author of said package, or does anyone have any clues as to what does distributable mean exactly? (preferably with references somewhere in th...

To render Chinese rolling notes images I had to change the final
images' typography from "Overpass" to "Google Noto" (just for Chinese
images) so for characters to show. In the case of indexhtml and apache
test page no typography change seems to be necessary since the output
rendered in the browser is accurate with your translations in the PO
files. Probably more investigation on this is required in order to
retain typography consistency in all components.
Here are some examples of artwo...

...my machines from RHEL to CentOS, and I think it would be helpful to have

Artwork localization
Hello everyone,
What do you think about having localized the following CentOS
components:
- Rolling notes in CentOS installer.
These images are shown during the installation process, once the
configuration is done and you are waiting for packages to be installed.
Rolling notes are a great place to promote CentOS. If they are not
localized, they are shown in English language by default.

Trimming the fat out of a Centos 4.4 Installation
Hi, just to avoid re-inventing the wheel, is there any document that
can help me reduce even further a "minimum" installation of Centos 4.4
(BTW can you say 600mb is minimum)?
I am in the process of creating a small Centos-4.4-based Asterisk box
and I need to boot it from a CF card. Deleting useless packages will
help me do what i want.
Example: even a minimum install of Centos 4.4 (or

Changing from RHEL to CentOS
I have a RHEL system and I'm thinking of changing to CentOW. How can
this be done most easily. It is important that the e-mail setup not be
disturbed, since it was crafted to work with an IP that requires
authentication.
Thanks,

Does Huawei break the license of CentOS?
Hello, Peter, thanks for your reply
1. Huawei DOES change the distribution EULA, if type in the following command:
vi /usr/share/eula/eula.en_US
you can see it changed to "HUAWEI EulerOS-2.0"
which is a copyright one, let alone original GPL license.
According to CentOS Linux EULA
The Distribution is released as GPLv2. Individual packages in the
distribution come with their own

Camera doesn't works after "yum upgrade"
Hi,
I've launched a "yum upgrade" command on a CentOS6 laptop which has updated
nearly 600 packages. Automatic updates were not working because of a conflict on
a package.
So the laptop is now uptodate but the camera did not works after this. The
message is:
kernel: uvcvideo: Failed to query (GET_DEF) UVC control 6 on unit 2: -110 (exp. 2).
The camera is detected as USB,
