...y what is going on. And everything is controlled from the one file. I routinely boot from floppy MBR to another device simply because by changing from one floppy to another I can change my default boot. And I can have as many map files as needed on the one '/boot' partition. It's indestructable. I miss not being able to 'root = "LABEL=' since I do all my booting via labels. When installing, I miss error checking (or is it there and I just did it perfect?) ... and those are my first impressions ;-)

oh foobar!
Hello list , just one thought, If you had a 'package verify" function , wich automatically installs itself and updates itself on any major update (a builtin eatire, posible for a future build), then that alone would eliminate multiple packages, of wich sometimes they have bad components left behind. I have seen a similar idea in the ports/vulnerability-test-port , I think this is a root

Audio Files, Filtering, and Formats for Asterisk
I listened to all the demos you showed. My ear discerns a little muffling and minor "slushiness" in the GSM files you sent, along with a much more narrow bandwidth, mainly on the high end side, and Allison either has a mild whistling s or slushy s sound in her voice or the producer didn't properly compress it to "de-ess" the recording. Qs about FXO/FXS cards

The system I need to set up should have 3 FXO interfaces and 1 FXS interface, as well as several SIP phones. I have noticed people complaining about Digium's TDM cards - are these isolated incidents or are these cards unreliable? I intend to
