What are the various models of DID providers
Hi, Inspired by a recent rant about one particular provider, I am getting very curious about something I've never mastered. I'd like someone to explain this here or at least post a link or two that can educate me and probably countless others who have no knowledge in this area. I'm sure there are several of you reading this that know all about the subject. What are the various

can't connect to home share after renaming Windows user
I just went through the ordeal of renaming a Windows user account (from the previous incumbent's name to the position title, so I won't have to repeat this). Everything went smoothly. The account has access to the programs and files that it previously did. The roaming profile is being updated when the user logs out. The C:\user\president folder is accessing and storing the local

Nat Traversal help!
Hello All, I have a number of X-Lite users in countries where the incumbent Telco will do anything to block VOIP traffic. For some reason neither the X-Lite broadband or dialup clients would register with my server unless we configure them to use the Xten Xtunnels demo server. Once the Client has registered the call quality is great! The problem is the Xtunnels does not support other IP Hard

[LLVMdev] Poll Results: Do you prefer Git or SVN for LLVM development?
Thank you everyone for your participation. A few flaws in my poll: 1) Favoring Git: Subversion supporters are more likely to be split between the last two options. 2) Favoring SVN: Timing of the poll went from Friday night to Monday morning, which probably favored the open source community to 9-to-5ers on private forks. 3) Favoring radicals: Too easy to cheat. Requiring a login or email address

athlon64/opteron 8GB per CPU
I'm putting together a spec for a big(ger) memory x86_64 host, and I hope some of you-all can help. I'm looking for success stories of hardware that folks are using in production environments, preferably with CentOS 4, with more than 4GB of memory per CPU. I know there are lots of mobos out there that can do this, but I'm looking for what folks really have running. Call me

SER/Asterisk interworking mailing list.
Greetings, As a developer and consultant who spends considerable time on projects involving the fusion of Asterisk and products derived from the SER ecosystem (OpenSER, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, the new SIP-Router), I have found that there is a great volume of interest in this topic on the mailing lists associated with all communities involved, but a comparative lack of focus that results in

CallerID inconsistently presented through ISDN/cellular networks
Hi, I'm facing a strange problem. My setup is: Alice cellphone <--GSM--><--ISDN--> Asterisk <-- ISDN --><--GSM--> Bob cellphone When Alice calls Asterisk which forwards the incoming call to Bob, sometimes Bob sees Alice's number, sometimes he sees a default CallerID (which happens to match the dialed number and the ANI). For various reasons, Bob really needs to

A New R Kernel for Jupyter
Hello R Community, 'JuniperKernel' is a new package that provides a 'Jupyter' kernel implementation. This package is the first C++ 'Jupyter' kernel to exist in CRAN. Its architecture differs from incumbent R kernels in novel ways that allow for streaming I/O and full support of 'Jupyter' extensions. I would be grateful for any feedback! Happy Holidays, Spencer
