Force hangup not working on stuck channel
...o Asterisk 1.8 servers (I know it is old
but new client so haven't had time yet to upgrade to 13). Because this
channels is stuck
all other calls between servers are not working. The only way I have
found to resolve the problem is to stop and restart Asterisk. This is
obviously a great inconvinience so is there a way for force iax to
unload even if there are channels in use? Or any other way to kill
these stubborn channels?

digest...
Hi
I get this mailing-list as a digest (as everyone does, i guess). This is
quite inconvinient for answering single questions.. I every digest there is
a message with Subject: Re: Samba dingest <NR>... This makes it hard to keep
track about whath message the replay is ment for.
Another problem is, that mime-attachments don?t seem to work. This is
especially bad, because some Micros...

Possible new CentOS user (currently WBEL)
...experience with WBEL, why do you prefer CentOS ?
3 - Is CentOS ahead of WBEL in terms of being up to date with RHEL ?
4 - Does CentOS releases an updated version everytime RH does ?
5 - What is (more or less) the time gap between a RHEL update and the
correspondent CentOS ?
I apologise for the inconvinience and any help would be apreceiated.
Warm regards,

We had problems with the IN NS records at PSI. The problem is fixed now
though it might still take a few hours for the changes to propagate.
I am sorry for any inconvinience this outage may have caused and have
provided a bonus article on Local/ channels to say sorry.
The article include a nice diagram on how using Local channels and
Originate relates to the events you see on the Manager API.

Since i cannot modify the program source code, i wonder if any of you

Tip: Apparently, the cobol program controls multiuser access internally
but i could solve it with multiuser applications developed in clipper

axTicks on a reverse ylog plot (PR#7973)
There is still issues with the reversed y-log scale plot:
# Test case A: works as expected

# Test case B: grid does not have horizontal lines; par("yaxp") is
different

In the second test case, axTicks for the horizontal lines (in

Overloaded samba server. Is it a bug?
...some other problems (we've
found workarrounds but i'll comment them just to provide some feedback).
1) The samba server used to die seconds after it was started.
Something about the nobody user and it's primary group prevented it from
working in a proper manner. We solved this inconvinient by adding de
user
nobody and it's corresponding primary group to the backend.
2) Root user was no longer recognized, (we still trying to figure out
why, the user's been added to the tree, but nothing changed) so we used
the
new role based administration provided by samba 3 as a workarrou...

Changing encoding on text
Hello,
I have a set of templates creating some files for me. All data on my
site is encoded using iso-8859-1. Now I want to save the text in the
file using utf-8. I have tried using iconv, but whenever I have the
require "iconv" statement in my model, there is some error happening in
the model and the model doesn''t get loaded (not sure how to debug that).

joining an NT PDC, WinNT user privileges
Hi,
I've been looking for this information, but I couldn't find it
anywhere.
I have a samba (2.2.3) on debian (woody) and I mean to configure this
server with winbind so it can authenticate domain users. The PDC is at a
NT server.
My question is is very simple ... what are the *exact* privileges I
need to give the user I use to join the domain? Winbind docs says use

[LLVMdev] me being stupid: me vs the llvm codebase...

In the static compilers, yes. The JIT directly serializes
instructions into memory without the aid of an external assembler.
There are also experimental built-in assemblers; LLVM calls them
object writers[1].

ok, ok. I just couldn't find them is all...
yeah, I once started doing direct instruction serialization (aided by an
'assembler' that was infact a mass of functions using a procedural
interface).
eventually, I decided that this route was just too damn inconvinient, and so
this was largely replaced by a printf-style interface (using a variation of
NASM-style syntax, though with a few differences, such as allowing lumping
multiple opcodes per line, ...).
but, then, later on the internals of the codegen went partly back to such an
interface, though most...

Xen on USB Key
Hi list,
Here is the idea. I am running a domU out of a partition on a USB drive. I
use the other partition to store the domU state. Then I carry this USB key
to my office and restore the VM at the point where I left it. Thus I am
trying to use xen''s virtualization to carry my desktop on a USB key.
I have put up a web page explaining the details and a script to prepare the
USB key.

[LLVMdev] me being stupid: me vs the llvm codebase...
well, as it so seems I need to bother everyone on the list with my pointless
newb crap, but here goes.
maybe there was a FAQ for all this, but I missed it.
well, I am not trying to demean LLVM in any way here, only trying to
understand and evaluate things from my POV is all...
sorry if at all I seem arrogant or condescending...
well, running a linecounter, it is about 223 kloc (c++ ...), +
