%macros not expanded in ldap attributes?

Are the % macros not expanded in LDAP attributes? For example,
the following is the only way sambaProfilePath works:
\\SERVER\share\path
If I substitute sambaProfilePath with, say, \\%L\%U\path, then
it doesn't work anymore, although the same string works with logon path
in smb.conf.

DRbConnError when using script/runner
I am running ferret (0.11.4) and acts_as_ferret (stable from svn) in a
rails 1.2.3 app in production using the DRb server. I recently upgraded
my configuration and the method with which I start and stop the server
no longer works: Here is the command I would like to use (and have used
in the past) to start the aaf server:
$ /Library/WebServer/rails/ccdb/current/script/runner -e production

Runes of Magic ClientUpdate.exe crash???
Every time I download and try to install through crossover games, I get this same error, I made sure to use winetricks to download ie6, vcrun2005, and wininet. The error is "the program clientupdate.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvienence". Does anyone have experience getting this to run through just wine, or crossover games? is
