rar incompatiblity from 4.4 to 4.5
i just upgraded my centOS to 4.5 and i try to install rar and i get this problem, isn't apt should automatically install all deps? ---snip---- Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages

why are qemu-img and vhd-util created files incompatible?
I was wondering if someone can shed some light on why vhd files created with qemu-img don''t really work right with vhd-util and consequentially blktap in general. To validate the incompatiblity its simple enough to do qemu-img create -f vpc test.vhd 40g vhd-util snapshot -n child.vhd -p test.vhd Which will show the below and then the headers don''t display the BATMAP summary:

Global variables in global variables
Hi. I have a very old dialplan (ie: a dialplan for a very old version of Asterisk) which I've just transferred to Asterisk 16.28.0 The [globals] section of that dialplan includes: Kphones=SIP/KC470IP&SIP/KSnom870 Sphones=SIP/SYealinkT38G&SIP/SGC610IP Allphones=${Kphones}&${Sphones} In the old system, this results in ${Allphones} containing:

submitting a patch
I''ve created a short patch so that spec.opts can use a single line (or multiple lines for backwards compatibility) for options. I''ve run the specs against spec:trunk I have two questions: 1. I''ve run rake pre_commit, but after the specs are done running, I get this error: rake aborted! ERROR while running webgen: /opt/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/

Socket problems. . .
I'm new to wine, so I'm kind of stumbling around in the dark trying to make heads or tails of the documentation. I'm trying to get a working installation of wine and I'm having some troubles. I've tried downloading the source and using the wineinstall script and that has stopped at several different spots with errors that I don't understand, the last one was Error 2, this

I have two DC's with Samba 4.2.1 (primary DC) and 4.2.3 (secondary DC). I have installed Samba 4 from the source code (configure, make, make install). I'm using rfc 2307. How can I update to Samba 4.6.3 version ? Is the same strucure samba 4.6 version and samba 4.2? Is there any incompatibility? Regards, Márcio Bacci

autoconf problem fixex, now other probs...
Hi there. I mentioned in my before postings that I had compile errors because of some automake incompatiblity. Now after installing redhat 8 these are fixed, and the ogg directory compiled fine, but vorbis gave me an error while it wanted to make a pdf file. (!! Why the hell would a make want to create a pdf?!?) These are some parts of the error log as the whole is too long: ... cp

Kernel Freezes with T100P
Hey Folks, I have an extremely reproducable problem with the T100P card. I'm running one card in an Athlon XP 1800 machine running Fedora Core 1. The kernel is a stock 2.4.26 kernel pulled from kernel.org. I'm going to be using the T1 interface for data only. If I bring the interface up, then down, then up again, the machine will freeze within 30 seconds or so. There are are no

What is "..." when it's empty? -- differences to S
i) (function(x, ...) length(...))(1) gives 0 in S (plus 3.4) and an error in R. It also gives an error in Splus 5.0r3. So we could well remain as we are... however ii) (function(x, ...) length(...))(1,2) gives 1 in all dialects of S that I have available. So by my `continuation logic', I'd argue that "i)" above should give 0 (and R and S-plus 5.0r3 behave

Hello, I''m going to be helping a friend setup Shorewall in place of his Cisco router on his home network. Shorewall will be acting as the router/firewall gateway for internet access for his home LAN. His connection to the ISP is via PPPOE. Nothing unfamiliar here to me. It will be a standard 2 interface setup. My curiosity was peaked when he said that he is going to be installing

\\Pettit Connect As: Password: On the server side, I didn't get far because the domain name come up NULL so it failed on that test. Below are two logs log98.txt and log2000.txt that show full debug info. I might just have a stupid configuration or installation mistakes. I am sure that my basic configuration must work since it is a very typical setup. Any help will be highly appreciated
