How to glue com32 module in grub2 ?
...b2 with memdisk. I have informed the success of booting hdt to the grub2 list. Some developers are very much interested to this issue and they are showing their interest to make a glue between com32 and grub2 so that hdt can be loaded without memdisk. It is really very exciting to have hdt as an inbuilt feature of grub2. Could any one kindly suggest the modification/dependency required in grub2 to have com32 module ? I'll definitely convey the grub2 list with your info. Thanks a lot for developing hdt

Testing for randomness
Dear all, Is there a test in R for the randomness of a sequence of observations (e.g. to test the random number generator)? Specifically I am looking for autocorrelations which are not necessarily linear in nature, which the acf function does not seem to be flexible enough to detect as it tests for linear autocorrelation. Thanks in advance, Paul.

Speedups with Ra and jit
...a further 5-fold increase in speed, or about 87 times faster than the unassisted na?ve code. I think the lesson here is if you really want to write R code as you might C code, then jit can help make it practical in terms of time. On the other hand, if you want to write R code using as much of the inbuilt operators as you have, then you can possibly still do things better. Of course sometimes you don't have the right inbuilt operators. In that case you have a three-way choice: slow R code and wait, faster R code speeded up with Ra and jit, or, (the way it probably should be done), with dynamic...
