Impromptu conferencing
Dear list, we would really like to be able to "invite a third and fourth party" to our current one-on-one call. At the moment, we have to agree to dial into MeetMe 10 minutes later, then make calls to the third parties, and hope it all works out. I have found a couple of examples on the Internet for converting channels into conferences, but I could not get any of them working. Does

File listing problems in 3.0.13
Over the weekend I upgraded my IRIX servers to 3.0.13 and have found many strange issues regarding the creation of new folders. When I attempt to add a new folder through the Windows side I get an immediate error dialog box stating "You may not be able to access file created in the folder X:\New Folder." When I select to continue the folder is created, looking on the IRIX side the

LLVM Developers Meeting JIT BoF -- Request for Topics of Interest
...uring the BoF itself. My main aims are for you to meet each other, identify potential areas of collaboration, identify things that I can do to unblock you, and get the ball rolling on some conversations that we can continue on the mailing lists. It looks like we'll have an opportunity to set up impromptu meet-ups too (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qpbefagv6Ts) so if you want to do a deeper dive on a topic area we can set one or more of those up -- just let me know in this thread. Topics so far: A very brief status update on OrcV2 and JITLink. Future / Potential use-cases for the JIT. --...

SNIA 2008 Storage Developer Conference CIFS/SMB/SMB2 Plugfest
...rdization of these protocols. This is not a marketing or customer focused event, the intent is that engineers will get together and discuss protocol details and implementation choices in an open and free environment, helped along with free food and a gigabit network for testing. There will be some impromptu talks, but mostly this will be an interoperability event. FYI - Microsoft developers, testers, and operating systems will also be present as we duke it out together in the trenches, getting interoperability to the next level. There will be some restrictions on using information gathered at the eve...

Ring Two Extensions Simultaneously with different caller ID values?
...ice, but might have a quick meeting in a conference room, or be BSing in the kitchen, or what have you. The request has come for users to know that their desk phone is ringing and be able to grab their calls, without having to log in/log out/forward their extension (after all a lot of this is very impromptu - you might just be waking back to the kitchen to grab a soda, bump into a coworker, and have a 20 minute discussion about widget X) It is, of course, quite easy to make multiple sets ring simultaneously (e.g SIP/xxxx&SIP/yyyy) - but both sets get the same caller ID info, so if I were to do th...

Disappearing Network Manager config scripts
Is anyone frustrated by Network Manager? I wish CentOS just used the basic configuration files like the ones on BSD-style OSes. Those are so simple in comparison. Each time I reboot, it seems like the configuration file I create for Network Manager gets destroyed and replaced with a default file. Nothing in the default file would actually make sense on my network, so I'm not even really sure

LLVM Developers Meeting JIT BoF -- Request for Topics of Interest
Hi Andres, That would be of interest to me too. One thing around this I have been > wondering about is whether it's realistic to merge the optimization and > code generation phases - right now we spend a lot of time re-doing > analyses during codegen that we already had done during optimization. Sounds good to me. I think there are two sub-topics here: (1) JIT specifics. E.g. What
