Samba4 - Printer Drivers install fails
Hi,
I have a question about printer drivers management in Samba4 (Samba
version 4.7.6, Ubuntu 18)
I use MMC to add new drivers to an existing cups printers, and some of
them are simply refused.
I know the samba4/cups server is operationnal as i'm able to add new
printers or drivers to it through MMC.
I guess it's not a permission problem on the server as i perform the
operation as

Hi all,
I've just set up a Samba 3.0.0 PDC (LDAP+nss) on FreeBSD 5.1, with CUPS as default print stack, which begins to work nicely.
I'm configuring a PDF pseudo printer, with the following share :

SLow cups printing, lots of get-printer-attributes
Hi all,
I encounter a problem here on a samba PDC with 97 cups printers.
When on a windows client, I click right on a printer, then select
"properties", it tooks about 12 secondes to open.
When from a spreadsheet such as M$ Excel I click on print, then try to
select an imprimante from my pdc, it tooks about 30 seconds.
I did some debugging, and with an strace on the smb process, found

File owning and rights problems
Hi!
I use protocol manager on a boot diskete to map a network drive share which
is shared by a samba server. (i.e net use i: \\server\d)
I give a username and a password which exists in /etc/samba/smbpasswd (i.e
user name: user1 and password: passwd1) but when I create and/or edit a
file, it changes the ownership to that file to owner user: dobody and group
owner: nobody. Also the rights are
