Then I google it, I find some solution of Borland C++ Builder, i.e. using
implib to generate R.lib. The only place where I can find implib is at

BTW: I'm using Borland C++Builder 6 to do this job, under Windows. I had
some trouble using the libs provided with the SDK, and I had to do an implib
from the DLLs. This is fine. The problem is: The libs are generated using a
calling convention that I don't use (and I can't use, because I have another
DLLs using different calling convention). Any idea of how to solve it? Is it
possible to recompile the SDK using Borland's tools? I...

success: compilation of python2.5.2 under wine+msys+mingw32
hi folks,
i promised i'd get python built under wine - and i'm happy to report
that this goal has been successfully achieved.
http://bugs.python.org/issue4954 if anyone's interested. what has
been achieved is that a python.exe, libpython2.5.dll, an implib
libpython2.5.dll.a and a python2.5.def have all been successfully
created using an entirely free software toolchain, along with the
dynamic libraries (such as pyexpat.pyd - python for win32's convention
is .pyd not .so).
running the regression testing has been... interesting :) several

programming with C++Builder 5
...quot;Symbol VECSEXP not defined".
I noticed when generating R.lib and .def file, it reported warning messages about some duplicated functions within R.dll. But I am not sure whether it is the reason and how to solve it.
I am using C++Builder 5, R 1.7.0.1 windows version, used impdef.exe and implib.exe to generating lib and def files, and used VCL components to develop the windows interfaces.
Can you pleased to give me some advices?

win32-service patch
Attached is a patch and my service.c if there is any difficulty
applying the patch. I did the following:
1. Created a ruby thread (Ruby_Service_Ctrl), that polls against a
simple integer value (protected by a critical section). I was worried
this would be "expensive"; however, I found the rb_thread_polling
method and it seems to work well.
2. When an event occurs in Service_Ctrl it

os/2 support using Watcom
The attached set of patches adds support for OS/2 using Watcom compiler
(tested with Open Watcom 1.9). My only interest was building a working
dll (the last patch in the set adds a makefile for it), therefore I did
not touch other places: If there is interest, I can do so.
Regards.
