VOIP PRI Gateways
I was hoping someone might have some knowledge to impart regarding
VOIP PRI Gateways or the psudo ISDN services being offered these days.
The official line in Australia is that "true" ISDN services are on
their way out.
I am testing a service provided by one of the telcos I am told that it
cannot provide ISDN cause codes for disconnected/invalid numbers and
all we get is the audio. Also

Libvirt, virtmanager & Windows 7 installation partition
I need to use an existing windows 7 installation in a virtual machine
form a libvirt host running Ubuntu 12.10.
Windows 7 installs on two partitions. There a 100MB boot partitiona
and then the main partition for the installation.
If I boot the laptop (which dual boots), I can select Windows 7 and
boot it just fine, or alternative Ubuntu.
If I select /dev/sda1 in the virtmanager as the source

Mailing List Etiquette
OK guys and gals ... can we please stop all the fighting?
When technical questions are asked, they should be answered. I lot of
people on this list have something that a lot of newbies need ...
experience.
So answering a question with "RTFM" or "JFGI" is not going to impart any
of your experience ... which is one of the things they need and want.
Also ... if someone attacks

This assumes, strongly, that this reduction is the way to do it, and also
that SSA/etc imparts no structure in the reduction that enables you to
solve it faster (IE restricts the types of graphs, etc)
FWIW, the exact argument above holds for value numbering, and since the
days of kildall, it was believed not solvable in a complete fashion in less
than exponential time due to the need to do...

Digital Radio Mondial - ACC & lousy speech quality
Salve,
when some of you have the time, listen to some test-transmissions
recordings of DRM (MW and SW)
http://www.drm-national.de/Audio_Streams/audio_streams.html
I have the impression that music sounds well but speech has
realy ugly digital artefacts.
Especialy Sample 2: High Quality MW 64 QAM
AAC+SBR 25080 bit/s
Would you guesss that speex would be better for voice only than ACC?

reduced major axis regression
With the help of J. Baron's search engine, I found an old thread on reduced
major axis regression (see below). Prior to my creating a really awkward
function to accomplish RMA regression, I was wondering if anyone might
clarify Dr. Ripley's casual comments below.

BUG REPORT: change_trust_account_password works in 2.0.7, fails in 2.2.3a through 2.2.8
I posted an earlier message about change_trust_account_password
failing.
I have been able to reproduce the error with
2.2.3a
2.2.5
2.2.7a
2.2.8
I can't seem to get 2.2.1 to even attempt to change the machine
account password, even with
machine password timeout = 300
The log of the failure looks like this:

winbind auth using ADS with domain trusts
In reading the documentation I havn't found anything that covers the use of
winbindd when authenticating against one domain (lets call it 'A') while
also allowing users from a domain trusted by A (lets call it 'B').
My linux box is a member server in domain A which is a new domain we are
working on transitioning to. We are not renaming because 2k server doesn't
have that

CentOS Based Infromational Document
For those of you who are either part of the secret cabal, or are otherwise
keeping track of it, there is a new version available.
The current version of the cryptex is version 3.1. It's changed rather
