VOIP PRI Gateways
I was hoping someone might have some knowledge to impart regarding
VOIP PRI Gateways or the psudo ISDN services being offered these days.
The official line in Australia is that "true" ISDN services are on
their way out.
I am testing a service provided by one of the telcos I am told that it
cannot provide ISDN cause codes for disconnected/inval...

Mailing List Etiquette
OK guys and gals ... can we please stop all the fighting?
When technical questions are asked, they should be answered. I lot of
people on this list have something that a lot of newbies need ...
experience.
So answering a question with "RTFM" or "JFGI" is not going to impart any
of your experience ... which is one of the things they need and want.
Also ... if someone attacks you, you should not respond in kind, but
should try not to flame or bait people.
It take more than one person to get these things going, and just a
little restraint on both people's parts cou...

This assumes, strongly, that this reduction is the way to do it, and also
that SSA/etc imparts no structure in the reduction that enables you to
solve it faster (IE restricts the types of graphs, etc)
FWIW, the exact argument above holds for value numbering, and since the
days of kildall, it was believed not solvable in a complete fashion in less
than exponential time due to the need to do...

Digital Radio Mondial - ACC & lousy speech quality
...Would you guesss that speex would be better for voice only than ACC?
DRM hasn't the original sample online to code it myself with speex, so
I need the help of some speex experanced ears ;-)
Becaus MW and SW are great for international and information programs,
a high quality for speech is more impartant then for music.
And I fear lizence restriction with MP4, so I would like to see speex and
vorbis on DRM ;-)
Thanks for attention,
rob

FLAC is dead?
...tute. Of course they're expensive now, because nobody else
makes a good turntable in that market.
Fortunately, FLAC is free. It cannot be priced out of the market.
Speaking of ripping vinyl to FLAC, I would expect that a belt drive
would be better than direct drive. Direct drive motors impart
frequency modulation into audio, where belt drive smoothes out the
pulsing of the motor. A 1200 is great for DJ purposes, but that
doesn't make it the best for ripping. I use the Ortofon Arkiv
cartridge for ripping, or the Gold, but I still do not have the ideal
turntable.

I don't believe that there is anything wrong with my machine

It may not be as simple as a pure command line tool, but it will be

The design of LLVM is not the simplest way to build a compiler. But it is
valuable to all of those working on it precisely because of this
flexibility imparted by its library oriented design. This is absolutely not
something that we should lose from the linker.

winbind auth using ADS with domain trusts
In reading the documentation I havn't found anything that covers the use of
winbindd when authenticating against one domain (lets call it 'A') while
also allowing users from a domain trusted by A (lets call it 'B').
My linux box is a member server in domain A which is a new domain we are
working on transitioning to. We are not renaming because 2k server doesn't
have that
