...r /usr/local/samba/lib/ it is only the codpages that have been installed - not the smb.conf and other files that is needed. The file is not located under /etc/ either. ...it is an easy explanation, but I don't know where to start looking for the problem, since I don't know if the problem is on the PC-side or on the unix side.
