Are there any RPM wizards out there that know how to specify a different architecture for a subpackage in a spec file? I have a package that has a binary component and a non-binary component that I would like split into 2 packages one, the binary which is architecture dependant and the other 'noarch'. I haven't found a spec file that does this yet :-( Ross S. W. Walker

Hi! Is there an easy way to do that? I looked around and the way that is usually advertised is setarch i386 rpmbuild --target=i386 --rebuild .... but for the SRPMs I've tried it always fails at tests in the Spec-File (like %ifnarch x86_64) The RPM I try to build doesn't compile anything (it just wraps a TAR-File), so setting up mock isn't necessary in my opinion. Is there any way to use the --target-switch? Thanks

When trying to build the centos5 srpm under x86_64 I am getting the following error: Checking for unpackaged file(s): /usr/lib/rpm/check-files /var/tmp/xen-3.2.0-0xs-root error: Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found: /usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader RPM build errors: Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found: /usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader Anyone have any ideas as to what causes this?
