betareg question - keeping the mean fixed?
Hello, I have a dataset with proportions that vary around a fixed mean, is it possible to use betareg to look at variance in the dispersion parameter while keeping the mean fixed? I am very new to R but have tried the following: svec<-c(qlogis(mean(data1$scaled)),0,0,0) f<-betareg(scaled~-1 | expt_label + grouped_hpi, data=data1, link.phi="log",

ListenAdress Exclusion
I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on a simpler way to exclude addresses from having listeners on them. I know a lot of people have multiple subnets, especially larger corporations. Some networks are non-route-able, and therefor unsuitable for use with SSH, aside from communication between other servers on the same subnet. Given that we may want to exclude those non-route-able

"route flush" does not delete routes created with -interface option
Is there a way to get rid of all the routes in a routing table ? This is more or less what I do: route add 146.64.80.0/24 192.168.0.100 route add 146.141.0.0 -interface tun1 route add 146.182.0.0 -interface tun1 route add 146.230.0.0 -interface tun1 netstat -rn inet 146.64.80.0/24 192.168.0.100 UGS 0 0 sis0 146.141.0.0/16 tun1 US 0

Windows password change issue
Hello. I am using Samba 3.0.22 with LDAP. When a user's password expires they are asked to change it by Windows 2000. Upon completing the pw change dialog box, after a brief pause, I get an error stating "The system cannot change your password now because the domain MYGROUP is not available." -- where MYGROUP is my domain name. Any thoughts on why this is occuring? I can

In addition with Rowlands comment. I suggest you try /etc/hosts add only 127.0.0.1 localhost Now type Hostname -f Hostname -s Hostname -d Hostname -I Are these all correct? > No, Edit resolv.conf domain samba.ifa.net search samba.ifa.net ifa.net nameserver 127.0.0.1 What happens now if you try the above command. Correct? Yes => correct your hosts and resolv.conf No || \/

[PATCH] ia64/pv_ops: paravirtualized istruction checker.
This patch implements a checker to detect instructions which should be paravirtualized instead of direct writing raw instruction. This patch does rough check so that it doesn't fully cover all cases, but it can detects most cases of paravirtualization breakage of hand written assembly codes. Showstopper problem: Winbindd no longer starting
Hi, I'm running a samba CTDB setup using default Centos 7.2 repos, fully up-to-date. This is in pre-production so this is quite a nasty problem. Everything was running fine, including after a package update 1-2 days ago. However, this morning I can't get winbind started, CTDB times it out. I've taken the clustering=yes line out of smb.conf, and run winbind at dedug level from the

error adding users to Domain Admins group during classicupgrade
Hi, I'm trying to migrate a NT4 domain under Samba3 to an AD DC under Samba4 on a separate server. During the classicupgrade, there were a number warnings while importing groups: WARNING 2019-05-13 15:09:56,728 pid:25284 /usr/local/samba/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/samba/upgrade.py #299: Could not add group name=Domain Admins ((68, 'Entry CN=Domain

ldap and computer accounts
I'm attemtping to configure a Ubuntu server for a bunch of windows clients. I'd like the authentication information to be in ldap.So far the stuff works, I can authenticate users in LDAP just fine. But when I want a windows machine to join the domain I get the error 'The user name could not be found'. The computer account gets created (via smbldap-tools) and I can see it in the

Horrible BIND9_DLZ DNS breakage after DC replaced and samba-tool domain demote --remove-other-dead-server
Hi List, We are running through testing our migration to Samba4/AD domain and hit an odd issue. We set up one new VM as a legacy PDC and performed a migration on this machine. All went fine. We added a second DC with no issues. We then simulated the first DC going away by unplugging the VM NIC and did an FSMO seize. The next step was to reinstall the original VM from scratch as a new DC on

[PATCH 0/4] ia64/xen: paravirtualization of hand written assembly code
Hi. The patch I send before was too large so that it was dropped from the maling list. I'm sending again with smaller size. This patch set is the xen paravirtualization of hand written assenbly code. And I expect that much clean up is necessary before merge. We really need the feed back before starting actual clean up as Eddie already said before. Eddie discussed how to clean up and suggested

[PATCH 00/15] RFC: ia64/pv_ops take 4
Hi. This patchset implements ia64/pv_ops support which is the framework for virtualization support. Please review and comments. On x86 various ways to support virtualization were proposed, and eventually pv_ops won. So on ia64 the pv_ops strategy is appropriate too. Later I'll post the patchset which implements xen domU based on ia64/pv_ops. Currently only ia64/xen pv_ops implementation

heatmap function
Hi all, By default, the heatmap function gives an image with a dendrogram added to the left side and to the top. Is it possible to only add the dendrogram to the left side and let the order of the columns unchanged ? I tried heatmap(mat, col=rbg,Rowv=res.hclust$order,Colv=1:dim(mat)[[2]]). In this case, the order of the columns are unchanged but a dendrogram is added to the top. How can I
