SECURITY: Various security issues in icoutils 'wrestool', used by libguestfs
Sorry for missing the importance of these earlier. These vulnerabilities were first disclosed this January. There are seven vulnerabilities reported in the icoutils package, in the 'wrestool' program. Unfortunately because libguestfs downloads untrusted guest content and processes it with 'wrestool -x' on the host, libguestfs is vulnerable to these. This could lead to host local code execution if you run inspection tools (like virt-inspector...

Question concerning creating .exe shorcuts.
Hey guys, I was curious about something. When Wine installs a program, that creates a shortcut after installation, it is usually placed on the desktop (as it would in Windows). So how I can create the same type of shortcut which will use the .exe's inbuilt icon; as Wine does? I know how to create a shortcut but i'd manually need to search for a .png file to use as that shortcuts icon.

How does Wine extract icons?
I've researched on Google, Wine's wikki and Wine's forum, but I did not find how exactly does Wine to extract the icons from the exe binaries. The only thing that I've found are mentions to third party programs, but anything about Wine itself. May anyone bring some light about the subject? Thanks.

Re: [PATCH 1/2] lib: Allow db_dump package to be a weak dependency (RHBZ#1409024).
...UMP -V` is executed every time RPM packages are extracted c) there is no feedback to the users (not even a debug()) that DB_DUMP is not installed, and thus information on the installed RPM packages are not extracted d) the same issue happens for the tools used to extract icons (netpbm, and icoutils) I still do think my approach [1] is better in this regard, since it already copes with all the points above. Why should be optional tools searched at build time, hardcoded, and then still need to be checked at runtime? The concern that there is no way to know which tools are used is sort of mo...

[PATCH] Add support for Windows dynamic disks (libldm / ldmtool).
This is just an initial version of the patch, not to be applied. It implements just the diskgroup functions, ie. corresponding to these ldmtool commands: * ldmtool scan * ldmtool show diskgroup <guid> I have chosen yajl as the JSON parsing library (don't worry, this is optional). You will also, of course, need ldmtool which is not packaged in anything except Fedora. Rich.
