I have installed 5.2 on my work desktop and everything works perfectly EXCEPT the sound device. Here is the relevant lspci line: 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01) I tried looking in Google (might have been a bad search), but all I could find was to add acpi=on to my boot line in grub.conf, and that didn't do any good. I have tried booting with: set hw.ata.ata_dma=0 set hw.ata.wc=0 I have also tried disabling udma support for this drive in the BIOS. Also, I have an intel ICH4 controller which is in the supported list. There seems to be a pr open on this, 36610. How can I tell if this is the problem I have? Is there anything I can do, such as trying a different cdrom drive? The drive works fine with both windows 2000 and rhat linux 9. Thanks. --Ben

Hello! After upgrade to version 2.0, now using 2.0.1, I'm experiencing problems with glusterfs stability. I'm running 2 node setup with cliet side afr, and glusterfsd also is running on same servers. Time to time glusterfs just hangs, i can reproduce this running iozone benchmarking tool. I'm using patched Fuse, but same result is with unpatched.

...een them. I'm guessing I'm hitting some weird bug in winealsa.drv, because everything else sound-wise, works flawlessly. I'm running wine-1.1.4, KDE4 (Hardy Heron) 2.6.24-19-generic using Alsa (1.0.16) dmix for output. The computer is a Dell laptop Inspiron 8600 with intel 82801db-ich4 audio. No other Win apps have crashed yet (including TTS ones) though I haven't tried that many. I don't even know where to begin tracking this down, any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks, -Lee

It appears that increasing the command line limit to 1023 caused the .bss memory area to overflow. Unfortunately NASM didn't detect this as it ought to have and therefore I didn't catch it as an error. I have dropped the command line limit to 511 characters and released it as 3.09-pre2.
