Hi, Does anyone know of a document that gives details on how to set up Bind 9 and DHCPD 3.x so that dns is updated when clients log on? I saw this is not in the howto collection (http://www.bibsyst.no/samba/docs/man/DNSDHCP.html#id2981727) so I was kind of hoping someone else has some notes. Hi, I seem to remember somewhere that Samba 3 can be configured so that you do not need real users for computers, that these users only exists in some tdb database. How is this possible? Can someone describe how to do this? Many thanks, Tarjei Huse

Occasional problems arise where the .pst file just will not copy from the users profile on the server. Doesn't seem to be related to the file size. Has anyone had issues with outlook and Samba PDC - (win2k clients). Solutions that have worked have ranged from complete loss of the .pst file to restarting users profile from scratch. thanks Alex Genna

Hi, This might be a featurerequest for 4.0, but I would be happy if it could go into 3.1 or something. I would be very happy if Samba could add the DNs of a user instead of his/her uid to a sambaGroup, thus using the groupOfUniqe names objectclass for administering groups.
