Centos 5.4 and TYAN s4985 motherboard....
Was wondering if anyone has any luck with the Tyan s4985 motherboard, I had loaded up the latest 5.4 release and in installed most everything that I wanted but when I loaded it up, as in processor wise it would lock up. Funny thing I could still ssh to it but not do a su - or anything from the console. I think it is kernel related and tried the previous kernel but it still exhibited the same

Rgdal installation error
Hi guys, I had looked for help on the debian gis list, but given this thread and others (https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-sig-debian/2011-April/001590.html ), maybe someone here could assist. I’m looking a bit of guidance trying to install rgdal on a beowulf cluster where i don't have root access. I was able to successfully download the gdal binaries and compile it to my home

RFC: changing variable naming rules in LLVM codebase
TL;DR: change the rule for variable names from UpperCamelCase to lowerCamelCase. Just to get wider visibility on this, I'm raising this again as an RFC, as suggested by Roman Lebedev. My original post from last week is here and gives a rationale: http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2019-February/129854.html. There seemed to be general agreement that the status quo is not ideal.

The hurtle which needs cleared here is not "is it a better naming style", but "is the disruption implied by changing to the new convention

Patch: Offline transfer mode
...n best interests to get this into mainstream and to help maintain it afterwards). Here's an excerpt from the patched man page: ________________________________________________________________________ OFFLINE MODE "Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway." -- Andrew Tanenbaum Note: Offline mode should be considered experimental in this version of rsync. It depends on batch mode, which is itself experimental. The interface and behavior may not be stable yet. Having said that, the original developer of offline mode...

[LLVMdev] OT: new here, dynamic/runtime compilation (in general)
well, sadly, I am not sure how people are on this list... in any case, LLVM is an interesting project, and may well continue being interesting. but, in my case, I have done my own compilation framework... ok, I didn't really hear about the really interesting bits of LLVM until after I had (more or less) wrote mine... ok, my point is to maybe to have something interesting to talk about, not

You say #nothing... I say "Hello. Hello! Hello?" Moving forward with this will stop this violence, it will also stop murder, and then death. (... in that order)
<cursi.ve.lamc.la> You are in The Matrix <http://isiti.gq/lists/lt.php?id=YUgNAAVdGAFSXB1QWlQKVF0F> . That's a significantly better thing than implied by the movie, but it's a good introduction to the reason for Creation, and why we are here trying to help an entire civilization transition from ?simulated reality? to Heaven. The New Testament is our guide, and seeing it's
