MANOVA
Dear Sir,
I am Davide Floriello and I am a student in mathematics. I have got a problem with the MANOVA commands. I write here what I have done:
PV <- read.table('PV.txt')
PV <- data.frame(PV)
g <- 12
p <- 2
REL <- factor(PV$REL)
HPV <- factor(PV$HPV)
fit <- manova(as.matrix(PV) ~ REL + HPV + REL:HPV)
After this last line, an error message is shown:

Recoding dates to session id in a longitudinal dataset
Hi,
I'm fairly new to R but I have a large dataset (300000 obs) containing
patient material. Some patients came 2-9 times during the three year
observation period. The patients are identified by a unique idnr, the
sessions can be distinguished using the session date. How can I recode the
date of the session to a session id (1-9). This would be necessary to obtain
information and do some

newbie question on contrasts and aov
I try to move from SPSS to R/S and am trying to reproduce the results of SPSS
in R. I calculated a one-way anova with "spk" as experimental factor and erp
as depended variable.
The result of the Anova are the same concearning the mean square, F and p
values. But I also wanted to caculate the contr.sdif(4) contrast on spk. The
results are completely different now. I hope anybody can

...ns are in Xen as for
example in QEMU they are in the v1.c file and as to where the mian loops
are for the hypervisor are to loop through the vCPU''s.
I am also trying to get a feel for where the memory allocation functions
are in Xen.
Also, in the Xen 4.2.1 distro, is qemu called for each HPV.
Please forgive these questions if they should be obvious to me, but I would
like to get a good feel for the booting sequence and control loops that Xen
has to utilize.
I have read a number of documents on the website that give me briev
overview of how Xen operates with Dom0 and DomU guests but...

Calculating proportions from a data frame rather than a table
When one has raw data it is easy to create a table of one variable against
another and then calculate proportions
For example
a.nice.table<-table(a,b)
prop.table(a.nice.table,1)
However, I looked at several papers and created a data frame of the
aggregate data. That means I acually created a table except it is a data
frame. The first column lists the name of the first author and the year.

Getting at MakeOpenFile
Along the same lines as the last question - how can I get to functions
like MakeOpenFile via Win32API? It doesn''t seem to be exported by
msvcrt-ruby18.
Possible? Or am I out of luck?
Dan
