Game: Bounty Hounds Online stuck at start
Hi, i tried getting the game "Bounty Hounds Online" to run but without luck. The game launcher needs .NET and starts the main BHO.exe after updating the game files. The game itself needs vcrun2008 to start so i installed both with winetricks. The launcher seems to work ok. The game gets the latest update files but when starting the game it gets stuck with a black screen and nothing

smartest way to setup new system (DELL PE 4600)
...is this: What's best practice and most desirable partitioning for doing this, and how would I go about setting up mirrors of both the OS and the user data drives? Thanks in advance for any help on what I know is a rather newbie question....please chalk it up to lack of sleep and veritable hounding by the 'higher ups' :) Kind regards, -Ray

Winbind group membership not updating
Hej, There are no Linux users (above 1000 that is), and there never will be. net cache flush does absolutely nothing. I've already suspected that the version might be at fault and checked 4.7.0 with the same result. I suspect the problem is not a bug per se, but an architectural problem with how sessions are constructed. As far as I can tell, group membership is resolved once at the

PORTING to IBM OS/390: select() always returning 0 in entropy.c
Hello, I'm attempting to port OpenSSH to IBM's S/390 mainframe. Things have gone well but I have come a little unstuck with the internal PRNG. Although the commands in ssh_prng_cmds are being executed the select() seems to be returning 0 and therefore the cose is assuming that the forked process has timed out. This could be a difference in the way that select is implemented on OS/390.

rspec SQLException problem
hello: I just installed rspec 1.1.3 by doing this: gem install rspec and then in the root of my project, I did this: ruby script/plugin install svn://rubyforge.org/var/svn/rspec/tags/CURRENT/rspec_on_rails And now, when I run a unit test (that worked before the rspec installation), I''m getting the following errors: SQLException: near ''of'': syntax error: DELETE FROM

Just Take dCAP at Astricon?
Since it is Saturday evening (7PM EST) I am asking this on the list in case someone who knows sees it and can answer. Astricon is in my back yard for the first time, and I could hit you with a rock. I would always like to attend, and spoke at the 2007 Astricon in Phoenix but don't have the idle cycles. Question: Can I just go to Astricon and take the dCAP exam only? In and out? Cost? I

Lattice plots for images
Hello UseRs, I need help on how to plot several raster images (such as those obtained from a kernel-smoothed intensity function) in a layout such as that obtained from the lattice package. I would like to obtain something such as obtained from using the "levelplot" or "xyplot" in lattice. I currently use: >par(mfrow=c(3,3) to set the workspace, but the resulting plots

Deleting observations - can't see the data after that
Hello all, I am loading a data frame, fitting a model, getting diagnostic plots and they are flagging a couple of observations as problematic. Fair enough, and I want re-fit without them. After I delete an offending row (identified by one of the diagnostic plots), something like data = data[-3,]; then R will no longer print the contents of the data frame; it tells me it is a data frame

Copying CentOS to new drive
I recently asked about copying a running system to a new drive. As a postscript, I'm wondering if it would have been preferable to run the machine under a Live OS, and simply copy the root partition to the new drive? Eg while running under the LiveOS, # mkdir /mnt/old /mnt/new # mount /dev/sda7 /mnt/old # mount /dev/sdb6 /mnt/new # cp -avx /mnt/old /mnt/new or # rsync -ax

As of test-60 and test-61, running Squirrelmail 1.5.1[cvs] on FreeBSD 5.3-STABLE, messages are not marked as read after they are read. If I switch back to test-59, it works normally. When switching back to test-59, with log_path = /var/log/dovelog dovelog shows: dovecot: Jan 14 11:43:38 Error: IMAP(kimc): Corrupted index cache file /home/kimc/Maildir/dovecot.index.cache: indexid changed

I am trying to install a program "Slots: Triple Play" on a Ubuntu Linux box for my friends mom. This is a deal breaker for her as she must have this particular slots game. I first was getting the memory access problems but got that fixed. Now when I try to install it I get a windows window saying "Dereferencing NULL" with an "OK" button. After that I get the error

How to evaluate the glusterfs performance with small file workload?
Hi guys I have met some troubles when I want to evaluate the glusterfs performance with small file workload. 1: What kind of benchmark should I use to test the small file operation ? As we all know, we can use iozone tools to test the large file operation, while for the sake of memory cache, if we testing small file operation with iozone, the result will not correct.
