How to hookup to cell phone for outbound calls?
Hi I need a small PBX for use on the move. This means that outbound calls will need to be made over the cell phone network. Assuming a small hardware PBX with a spare mini-PCI slot or a USB slot then what hardware options do I have to get an outbound cellular channel? Options need to be rock solid, so no bluetooth to a cell phone kind of solutions need apply. Can any of the 3G usb

Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) connectors
Hi, I'm no phone guy but I've been having quite a bit of fun messing with Asterisk. I just unwrapped my new Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) which is the new 4 port FXS PCI card. It has 4 RJ45 connectors and I'd like to hookup 4 regular phones which are RJ11. If I crip RJ45 connectors to the phone cords do I simple use the center two pins (pins 4 and 5)? Thanks, Randy Smith Tiger

point to point T hookup?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 I have an installation where I'll have a site to site data DS1 for use between two corporate offices. We'll have one asterisk server at each office. I'd like to be able to route calls over the 24 channels on that DS1 between the offices, instead of over the voiceT at each location to maximize savings on interoffice calls. An

What is the best cost effective solution for a small office: I need 3 FXS & 2 FXO. Can I hookup a TDM400P and 2 X100P on the same computer? Also, I saw some IP phones for $25.99 http://www.wosmile.com/cgi-bin/view_store_item.cgi?pid=4424&sid=5&category=1 Can I use them with asterisk? will they be able to do the same as the TDM400P? I read that to run the conference app Meetme you

Why are you guys promoting a Rippoff
On your web you have a link http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+settings+Diamondcard To Setup Calling with Diamondcard.us and I signed up and paid the money according to Stephen Karrington it was all automated... And it was automated to take money but when you look for service hookups or information you don't get it. I have tried now for last little while to contact them for support and got nothing.

[OT] CAT5 IP-capable rackmount KVM units?
Rather off-topic, but I'm looking for IP-based KVMs (~16 ports) that can handle both PS/2 and USB hookups on the server side. All of the answers over at Slashdot are a few years out of date and it looks like prices on KVM head units have dropped a bit over the years. Some of the older units only worked with Windows, Internet Explorer and ActiveX. Others like the ATEN KH1516i supposedly use Java a...

FC11 and pv_ops kernel
Is there a version of the pv_ops kernel that will do HVM and work with fc11? I have been failing miserably trying to get it to work. I have followed Boris''s guide at: http://bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/setup-fedora-11-pv-domu-at-xen-3-4-1-dom0-kernel-2-6-30-rc6-tip-on-top-of-fedora-11/ But have had no success so far. I am wanting to know what is the version of the pv_ops

modem through Zaptel/Digium?
This is just a low priority curiosity question because I have a usable workaround. I have Digium card that uses the Zaptel driver (can't get to my home machine right now to get the exact model, but it probably doesn't matter). It's a card with one POTS line and three extension hookups. I'm using Asterisk 1.4 and Zaptel 1.4.7 . One of the extension ports is connected to a modem on another computer. This is a FAX modem that works well; I have * programmed to detect incoming faxes and route them to this modem, and it works seamlessly. I can also send outbound faxes with no pr...

/dev/pts linking option?
Folks, Does anyone know whether libvirt provides a means for me to guarantee a persistent link for my guest's virtual serial console? I need to have a consistent mapping (for example, a symlink that always points to the correct /dev/pts entry) so I can automate kgdb hookup on boot. Jon.

[LLVMdev] MC ELF support
Hi guys, attached are a couple of work in progress patches for ELF support in the MC module. I'm sending this email to gather some general feedback on the code. Applying these patches doesn't get you a fully working llvm-mc that understands ELF; it's just the ground work. I've got a couple more small patches that fixup some places that assume Mach-O object format which I'll

Warned about these "three little maids"...
Greetings all: Newcomer to R as I work on learning it to transfer my college classroom stats training to something more useful and accurate then that spreadsheet from Redmond which shall remain nameless. I'm running v2.6.2 on a Win XP Home system that I keep up to date with all the called for patches. Haven't added much to the basic install other than the bits and bobs needed to run

A VPN is switched mode
Hi all, I have been using tinc successfully for a while now. However, I need to do something different from my normal setup, and i am getting the feeling I am doing something obvious wrong. What I want to do is hookup 5 distant linux routers into one bigger network, Since I need to transmit both unicast and multicast traffic, the VPN network has to be in "Mode = switch" [Assumption
