I would like to change this to say 90 days, but have been unable to find a way. I tried the option "password expire time" but testparm doesn't seem to recognise it. There is nothing in the official Samba How-to about this. Has anyone managed to set thier

URI.escape() broken or misdocumented in Ruby 1.8.4
URI.escape() is supposed to be able to take a second parameter listing unsafe characters in the URI. This may be a regexp or string. If a string, it''s supposed to represent a character set listing all unsafe characters. An example given in the core documentation at: http://www.ruby-doc.org/stdlib/libdoc/uri/rdoc/classes/URI/Escape.html#M008992 ...is: p URI.escape("@?@!",

Regression query ...
Forgive me, I do not yet use R nor is it (yet) installed on my machine. I just need an answer to whether (and how ?) R is able to do Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) Regression with the requirement that the regressed line must pass through the origin. Thank you, Rob. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Deleted from partition table
I accidentally removed an ext3 partition from the partition table. I know roughly where it started. Is there any way of finding the superblock and reconstructing it? TIA, Dave (Yes I have a backup of the important stuff!)

Stripping out textile markup
Hi, I have several hundred pages of text, all carefully marked up with textile, which I use redcloth to convert to html for display. Now I find I need all these pages to alternatively output plain text - ie. A-Za-z0-9 and simple punctuation only. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? My only thought is to let redcloth do its stuff, and then strip out the html tags - but it feels wrong.
