Patches for OpenSSH 2.5.2p2: evaluate /etc/default/login, makefiles manpages
Dear developers of OpenSSH, first of all I want to thank you for your excellent work on OpenSSH! I have compiled OpenSSH 2.5.2p2 on Sun Solaris 2.6 and Sun Solaris 8 and discovered some problems. The first is that OpenSSH doesn't evaluate the file /etc/default/login which contains some flags and parameters for the login process. On important parameter is the default value for PATH. As we

pxelinux gets stuck after loading configuration file
Hi, i got some strange behavior of pxelinux (V3.07). Most times it works fine but sometimes it got stuck after it load the configuration file with tftp. neither SAY-message are displayed nor DISPLAY-messages. the only difference i found is on the tftp communication: when it got stuck i'll traced a 'access violation' packet from the the tftp-server after the last ACK for the

wozu Wine?

Problem with accouting SW and Samba/NFS
Hi List I got following problem: I have an old accounting software. It runs at the moment on a NT4.0 System which access the program itself on a samba share. I tried to get this application running under Linux with wine. When I copy the whole folder from the file server to the local filesystem (ext2), it works well with wine (tested with 20050111 and 20050310). But when I mount the share into my

max concurrent CIFS connections
Hello, I need some help please. I have been told from an administrator that Samba does only support up to 3.000 concurrent CIFS connections and each connections reserve 5MB of memory. If this is true that I would need 15GB of memory to support 3.000 concurrent CIFS sessions how many people have this amount of memory in any server? The second argument which he used was and I quote him

Migration to Samba using external LDAP server
Hello, we are in the process of implementing a samba server running 3.0.14 and an external LDAP server running Microsoft ADAM. We have it also running with Open LDAP for UNIX under Redhat. It works fine for every user account that accesses the samba instance. The user mapping is done and all works fine. Now we have the major problem of the migration and I would need some guidance here

SAMBA 3 as PDC - W2K/WXP Pro logon trouble
I have a Samba 3 PDC running with an LDAP backend on Red Hat 8. All authentication appears to be working correctly but I can't login to the domain from a W2K or WXP Pro workstation after I have successfully joined them to the domain. If I login locally to the workstation I can browse the Samba shares just fine. I have checked the schannel and sign or seal settings on both the workstations

Bug in function boxplot's axis labeling
Dear developeRs, I appreciate that boxplot now labels the axes with variable names per default. However, with argument "horizontal=TRUE" (which I always use), the default axis labels are mixed up, as can e.g. be seen with require(boot) boxplot(time ~ poison, poisons, horizontal=TRUE) The correct labels would be obtained by boxplot(time ~ poison, poisons, horizontal=TRUE,
