Struggling with ISDN4Linux and Asterisk config
The card is an ASUSCOM ISDNLink PCI (passive) and the circuit is from Qwest (in the US). I will be using this circuit only for voice (I'm doing this because of the poor quality of my POTS lines). Busy message on ISDN cards?

I'm pretty certain the card and line both work since they've been used in this machine for PPP before this (but with an older kernel with DoV patches, which are no longer to be used). Anyone using National ISDN (NI-1) BRI under Linux?
...TS lines. I've been trying to find an inexpensive PCI interface solution to connect this to Asterisk as voice lines. I prefer ISDN BRI over POTS lines because of the improved signalling, fast dialing, clean audio, and so on. I've tried three different Passive ISDN boards supported by the HiSax drivers, with various degrees of failure. None have been able to complete a call. (Linux kernel 2.4.22, with AVM Fritz, DynaFax, and HFC cards) According to the HiSax documentation, NI-1 is a supported protocol.

Coexistence of zaphfc and hisax?
...der external ISDN modem and mgetty-sendfax is used for sending faxes. I'd like to send the faxes also via the HFC card but I don't have any common interface for it: mISDN doesn't support faxes, CAPI is available for active cards only (I believe - if I'm wrong please correct me) and HiSax plus ISDN4LINUX doesn't work: I tried to load the hisax module parallel to zaphfc but this immediately results in a message "Primary D-Channel on span 1 down" in asterisks log. ...I should change from i4l drivers to capi drivers. wiki help seems to be for the Fritz card only...??? Initializing two ISDN cards in isdn4linux

Fedora Core 4 not recognizing X100P cards
I am getting quite frustrated today, so please bear with me. I just installed Fedora Core 4 (was running RedHat 9 with a working Asterisk) now my Fedora does not appear to be recognizing my X100P (clone) at all. Hardware browser just shows them as unknown device. driver: hisax So, of course, my zaptel drivers do not work and therefore my asterisk does not work. any help would be greatly appreciated .. Hi I was using asterisk 1.0.7 until now. For my connection with the PSTN I used a good old isa hisax teles 16.3 isdn card.
