Linux Join Domain Problem
...when you do this. Specific error message is:
Unable to write the machine account password for machine SEQUOIA in
domain RECOMMENDED.
I have other systems, Win2k, Solaris, and RedHat 7.2 that are working,
but I have not needed to try a rejoin to the domain with them.

Upgrade From 2.2.3a to 2.2.4 Broke Solaris 8 PDC
...find interesting about this is, hemlock is the PDC and it appears
that it is asking sequoia to do the authentication. Nothing has been
changed in the smb.conf file and a diff of the testparm output between
the two version of samba gives us no clue as to the cause of failure.

Too many open files, Bug 3342
We submitted bug 3342 on Dec. 20th, Too many open files. It has not
moved from the new state. So lets try here.
We have Dell Quad Xeon server that we end up rebooting about every 2-3
weeks when the number of open samba files sky rockets. The system is a
ClearCase server system. We have been monitoring this system for a few
months now and are not able to pin down a cause to this issue. The

Issue trying to run StreetSmart Pro
This is the first attempt to try this program, StreetSmart Pro. I'm
running on a Fedora 8 64 bit system using wine-1.1.9-2.fc8 and
mono-2.2-gtksharp-2.12.7-win32-5.exe. When I try running the program I
get the attached stack_dump.txt:

Local and remote back up behave differently
I have run out of ideas on why the local and remote back ups done with
the script below behave differently. The local always seems to be a
complete back up while the remotes are delta back ups except on Mondays.
Cron line example:
/root/bin/backups /export/home redwood "--exclude='*.sock' --exclude='*cache*' --exclude=/export/home/*/.gvfs"
#!/bin/bash

Quickbooks Pro 2003 installed will not run
This is my first attempt at using wine and crossover. I want to run two
applications Quicken Premier 2003 and Quickbooks Pro 2003. I first tried
installing with just wine, wine-20050524-1fc3winehq.athlon.rpm, and ran
into immediate install failures with Quicken. So I down loaded
crossover's trial version and have installed both applications.
Quicken seems to be completely functional, did see
