Hi..Guys new plugin again
Hi.. Guys new plugin again Foreign Key Associations is a plugin that automatically creates associations based on foreign-keys. The associations are created at runtime-ie. as your ActiveRecord models are loaded-so they will always be up-to-date. For example, given a foreign-key from a customer_id column in an orders table to an id column in a customers table, the plugin creates:

Any opinions on the Rails [Rough Cuts] books from Safari
Either - Ruby on Rails: Up and Running or Rails Cookbook I''ve heard so many negative things about Safari pdf''s and the whole program I''d like to get some feedback. I have AWDWR(2nd edition), RubyforRails(Manning), Programming Ruby(2nd edition), so I''m not even sure I actually need another book but maybe the approach or content is somewhat uniuqe. TIA Stuart

Ghost DNS Entry (WERR_DNS_ERROR_RECORD_ALREADY_EXISTS)
Hallo, I'm using Samba 4 AD in production now for more than a half year. All works great since today. Today I was unable to access my network printer by its hostname. So I looked up his DNS Entry using the Windows DNS-Manager and recognized that the DNS entry for the printer is missing. I tried to readd it, but got the error message that the entry already exists. Next I tried to remove an

Puppet dashboard and environments
Hi puppet users, We''ve got a puppet (0.24.8) implementation with two environments, called production and testing. We''ve also got a Puppet Dashboard (1.0) instance up and running, which is receiving and displaying reports from hosts in both of the environments. We would like to start using the dashboard as an external node classification tool, so I''ve taken the example

Ghost DNS Entry (WERR_DNS_ERROR_RECORD_ALREADY_EXISTS)
Hi, I've the same problem but I'm on samba version 4.1.12 and gentoo and also using bind backend. However, my result are a bit different. In my case, the entry cannot be seen from RAT nor can i add/delete the same name entry (same like you) However I can still ping or resolve that host name... That was the strange part... I would like to know the answer as well. Regards, Min Wai On

What happened to the mirrors?
Hi all, what happened to the mirrors? Many of them are outdated and older than 2days. They are missing the latest updates from yesterday and the day before yesterday. According to http://mirror-status.centos.org a whopping number of 227 mirrors are currently out of date. This is the major part of all European mirrors. :( Can someone please have a closer look at this? Thanks a lot and regards

...ying with Story Runner. Love it. I also started working on a patch, which ought to be simple, to allow for Scenarios without supplied blocks to be treated as pending -- much like "it" in Spec::DSL::ExampleAPI. That said, I noticed something that seemed odd and chatted with Rein Henrichs a little about it on #rspec. ScenarioRunner#run treats "pending" scenarios as an error case. We both believed this to be a little odd as we both thought that pending would just be a branch and not an error. That said, I thought that there may be a reasonable explanation. Evan...

How to get rid of misspelled DNA entry?
Dear list, I have a strange problem. In RSAT is had a typo when adding a reverse lookup entry, i.e. I added something like "host.samdo.com" instead of "host.samdom.com". No a reverse lookup yields to entries, the correct one and the misspelled one. :-( Deleting it in RSAT is impossible, as the misspelled entry doesn't show up here. Deleting in by samba-tool is

Google style
Since I read digests, and don't read mail on weekends, I come to this discussion late. It was very entertaining. I only wish to comment on 2 points. The first is Henrich's (I believe) one that trying to convert an old-time user to new styles is futile. I agree wholeheartedly. As proof I offer the survival suite --anyone who peruses it will notice a different indentation rule for

to_parm and how it can be used in a helper
is there a way to pass the data returned by the to_parm function in a helper? i followed the info provided at http://www.jroller.com/obie/entry/seo_optimization_of_urls_in and am able to successfully get the correct urls, now i want to be able to get the same (id-whatever) text and pass it to a helper function for further processing. Any ideas as to how this can be achieved? -- Posted via
