Updates to development?
Hi, again. Are there any updates to the development of Theora? Like a version 1.2? I ask this because I want to be re-assured Theora is not just sitting while people are choosing H.264... -- Daniel Hendrycks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Ptalarbvorm Update?
To my recollection, there hasn't been any talk about Ptalarbvorm. Is Ptalarbvorm development ditched? (I have noticed some commits for it every now and then, but nothing like the amount of commits last year) -- Daniel Hendrycks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Dirac question
Hi again, could someone tell me why there is links to Dirac on the Xiph wiki? The BBC takes care of Dirac, not Xiph? Is Xiph just a promoter? Secondly, how would one choose to save the video in a lossless format with Dirac, is there some interface (like a switch) in an application for this to be achieved? -- Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/

Lossless Video Codec
...less video, have a reasonable file size and be able to decode on an average machine. It's obviously slated toward the future, when bandwidths can actually handle transferring the file. The company is scheduled to officially announce the release at its Google I/O developers conference next month, a source with knowledge of the announcement said. And with that release, Mozilla ? maker of the Firefox browser ? and Google Chrome are expected to also announce support for HTML5 video

Loseless Video Codec
Hi, I do not know where else to post this. Is there a Lossless video codec developed by Xiph? Is one in the works? There is already a losseless audio codec available by Xiph: FLAC. Another question: How come on the theora site it does not show what is next in development for theora in the FAQs? Is it being worked on? P.S. Opera 10.5 just added support for Ogg *thumbs up* -- Using

Theora Petition on YouTube (Christopher Blizzard)
On Tue, 26 Jan 2010 14:00:01 -0600, <theora-request at xiph.org> wrote: "URL?" Of myself spreading it? Or the petition. Hi Chris, I remember you from hacks.mozilla (although I am an Opera supporter). The webmaster of Xiph told me to tell the members and readers about the petition, sadly it has only reached few because I cannot create a post about it. -- Using

Theora video support in Firefox and Opera
Firefox: 3.6 is out. What's new? I don't know (see :-( below) Trying to play videos: + Can play (in some cases) Internet videos + Can play (in some cases) videos from local storage + Seems to pass the testsuite tests , http://wiki.xiph.org/TheoraTestsuite , ("offset" looks good, 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 too, not sure about the 322x242 "not divisible by 16" - there is a black
