Hi again, could someone tell me why there is links to Dirac on the Xiph wiki? The BBC takes care of Dirac, not Xiph? Is Xiph just a promoter? Secondly, how would one choose to save the video in a lossless format with Dirac, is there some interface (like a switch) in an application for this to be achieved? -- Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/ -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Xiph.Org is generally happy to use, adopt, promote anything which furthers that mission even things not invented in-house. In order for a format to be useful a lot more is needed than just the codec itself... Transport formats, tools, complementary codecs (e.g. a video codec often needs a matching audio codec), so there can be a role for Xiph.Org for that too. I think to make Schroedinger lossless you want "rate-control=3".
