[LLVMdev] Where do I put the propeller?
...t's got a good engine, frame, and other parts. It's got an active community of people around refining the design and using it for many purposes. It's a good car for these people. OpenMP and similar pragmas are like a helicopter design. A few people have decided that they wish to design helicopters. It's a lot of work to design a complete helicopter, and a helicopter needs some of the same things a car needs, so their plan is to take this popular car design and attach a propeller and other things that they'll need. They're really excited about this because it will free them from w...

FCC Rules VoIP Must Be Tappable
...ns regarding the legitimacy of such a ruling (whether they have the legal, moral or whatever right to enforce it), there's the technical aspect. Suppose i provide VoIP services using Asterisk, and i fall under the incidence of the FCC ruling and i have to provide a tap to the guys in the black helicopters. What are the guidelines, what should i do to ensure i won't get spanked because i obstructed the justice or some such. More precisely, what config bits must be put in place to make sure there's always an easy way, with Asterisk, to tap into arbitrary calls? -- Florin Andrei http://flori...

fail-safe boot - how can this be done?
I'm installing syslinux on an embedded board that will only be reachable via boat+hike or helicopter. This will be a somewhat experimental platform, so I can't make a read-only filesystem on CF. What I'd like is to have two root filesystems on a CF card, one that is a read-only "fail-safe", and a 2nd that is the "normal" system I experiment with. What I'm

Correction.
It has been pointed out to me that I erred in an earlier post. ``Go stick your head in a pig.'' is not the motto of the (entire) Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. It is the motto if the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation ***Complaints Division***. My apologies for the misinformation. cheers, Rolf Turner ###################################################################### Attention:\

...The wickedness and awesome cruelty of a crushed and humiliated people," he writes that "this is not the war of democracy versus terror that the world will be asked to believe in the coming days. It is also about American missiles smashing into Palestinian homes and US helicopters firing missiles into a Lebanese ambulance in 1996 and American shells crashing into a village called Qana and about a Lebanese militia paid and uniformed by America's Israeli ally hacking and raping and murdering their way through refugee camps." Voice linmodems and Asterisk PBX
Hello group, Just got this reply from Sasha @ Smart Link, a soft modem chipset company with a very nice attitude towards Linux. BTW, You can check the status of most modem chipsets and Linux support here: http://www.idir.net/~gromitkc/dips/roster.html The good news is that the current 2.7.x series supports voice commands and is full duplex, but can only work with one modem. This issue will

I apologize in advance for the subject and length of this reply. I debated just letting things pass without comment. But, security has many levels. And the first level is recognition of the threat. Whether we recognize it or not. Whether we agree of disagree with the politics that lie beneath this situation or not; Whether we consider this a non-technical issue or not; By virtue of our

These= people are fools imho, but they do exist...and they wont buy an cheap phone,= they'll buy an expensive phone, regardless of it's ability... as we've seen recently some= governments will even buy helicopters that can't fly in fog or where it's sandy for= silly money... For Whom the Gaza Bell Tolls -- Part 1 and 2 -- Obama’s Mideast Jewish Wet Dream Team
For Whom the Gaza Bell Tolls -- Part 1 By Edmund Connelly for The Occidental Observer January 16, 2008 ?The Israelis can kill whomever they want whenever they want.? --Paul Craig Roberts I sometimes think that it?s pointless for Americans to talk much about recent events in Gaza because we know how it will play out ? America will do absolutely nothing to interfere with the ongoing massacre.
