Free MOH MP3
Hello All,
Sorry to rehash a question I am sure has shown several time but I cannot
google up the answer from the lists.
Does anyone know where I can get some royalty free, cost free music for
my music on hold?
I saw someone's post several weeks ago that said that this exists at a
download site but I have not been able to find it.
Thanks!

Such a nice codec! Soundcard recommendations?
...re's a great 5.1 sound card, I'll take that.
If you email me directly, I'll summarise to the list. I'd also very
much appreciate it if you tell me what kind of stereo you're running
the sound card to...
Cheers :)

Hi gang,
We just yum updated BQ server and now use dovecot instead of imapd/pop3
with a slight config all is well accept for one of our users that has
a fancy yahoo account that allows them to pop other accounts into it.
Used to work great until we switched to dovecot.

Comment fields don't like accents!
...the command line), but they
get translated into # either when I do vorbiscomment -a or
vorbiscomment -l (not sure which, but XMMS also sees # instead of the
right char, which implies the first).

Useful Comments vs. Databases
...ave a useful standard that allows us to label our
recordings properly:
Are there yet any on-line databases (I'm thinking freedb-like, but
freedb is as lame as ever) that allow storage/retreival of all of
these useful comments?
Cheers!

Tag changes
A few days ago, I initiated a conversation with Jonathan Walther to
seek his advice on how he might tag a CD that I ogg'ed. Out of this
discussion, we decided to make a couple of changes to the proposed
standard.
1) A new LABELNO tag was added to the list. This would contain the
record label's catalogue number. Generally available on the face of
the CD. Probably more useful than

problem with id3 tags
Hi,
I just had a problem that is not described in the faq and it was quite
hard to find the right fix so I wanted to send it here, hoping it will
be added to the faq.
The error message is the same as in:
http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis/200210/0073.html
Warning: Hole in data found at approximate offset 5238000
bytes. Corrupted ogg.
In this case it was caused by id3tags added by grip.

original audio the best audio?
I was just wondering if the original audio is always the best audio.
I'm sure every compression format including vorbis is based on trying
to make the output sound the closest to the listener to the input. I
was wondering if there is any possibility that there would be a way of
modifying the huffman tables or something in some way to make the
output sound better than the original?

Vorbis Comment question
Hello.
I would like to know if there are any developments planned for Vorbis comment specifications. I am generally content with the variety of field names, but I would really appreciate having a standard GUESTARTIST field (or something in the vicinity) to be able to better describe collaborations. This is helpful in cases where there is a main artist for the track/album, and there are also guest

fitting lots of music into 10GB with Vorbis
Hi- just wondering, what would be the best quality rating to use to fit lots of music into 10GB of HD space.
The audio quality has to be high enough for it to sound good when played through PA systems (for when my college is stupid enough to forget to hire a DJ, or when the realise the DJ they always hire can't use a mixing desk properly) ranging from a functional PA system thats stuck in the
