hm ...
...pening here.
A matroxfb just oopsed on me (thats not strange), the machine got unusuable, so i logged in from another and got the idea to touch /forcefsck. Upon reboot, fsck said that some inodes are in use but have dtime set and that some files are illegal sockets. Now this just doesn't sound healty to me ... Should I be worried?
Something fishy is going on here ... memtest says it's not ram, harddrive is IBM IC35 (i thought that only GXF75 were unreliable and even those only on certain ata100 controllers) on pio mode, i have s.m.a.r.t running and nothing from it in the logs ... Well, i...

Not, not healthy :)
This was a last minute change before I released 0.9. Appearantly you
pinpointed the problem. I'll issue a 0.9.1 release shortly...
Thanks for looking into the problem and pinpointing it.

Darkice memory leak
Unfortunately I can't reproduce your memory leak reports. For example,
here is the line about my production darkice instance from top:
PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
27516 root 20 0 3564 3564 1340 S 95.6 1.3 47:06 darkice
<p>this as after approx 50 minutes from start, but the memory load doesn't
change for the whole 4 hours it

Darkice memory leak
...on is 10 and bitrate 128. Why is the do we
multiply by 'bufferSize*1024/8*bufferDuration twice?
The constructor for BufferedSink allocates the buffer with the 2nd param as
the buffersize. In my case the 'chunkSize' is 1 which gives bufferSize =
209.715.200 bytes. I am wrong? Is this healty?

writing CD
Dear List!
Using every successive isue,
I have the same trouble: to write
a simple CD. My writer is TEAC
W540E, last rel. 5_1. Hardware
is healty, cause on the same hdd
I have obsolette RedHat 7.3 that
writes perfect. I use scsi-emulation
via camcontrol and cdrecord. So,
I make iso image, put everything
in a command line as I always do,
and on freeBSD cannot be sure,
that the result will be correct. It
writes, ejects and... Many times

I saw that kill -HUP nmbd dumps a netbios map, can I use this in order
to have an occasional refresh of the users map (maybe it is not healty for nmbd)?
do I need smbd also ?
why I haven't found a similar project on freshmeat (maybe it can't work
and I'm not aware why)?
do you think I'm just a fool (or idiot ;)?
would it be better just to use your db_library and have direct access
to the info stored by nmbd?
should I f...

zpool version 3 & Uberblock version 9 , zpool upgrade only half succeeded?
...ince we did not succeed in bringing this storagenode back online (on zfs level) we upgraded our nashead from opensolaris b57 to b77. After upgrade we succesfully resilvered the pool (resilver took 1 week! -> 14 TB). Finally we upgraded the pool to version 9 (comming from version 3). Now zpool is healty again, but perfomance realy s*cks. Accessing older data takes way to much time. Doing "dtruss -a find ." in a zfs filesystem on this b77 server is extremely slow, while it is fast in our backup location were we are still using opensolaris b57 and zpool version 3.
Writing new data seems...

Just curious, how did you do this? `remove-brick` of arbiter brick
followed by an `add-brick` to increase to replica-3?
Thanks,
Ravi
